Summit girls win twice
The Summit Academy Lady Patriots improved to 3-0 with a pair of league wins this past week. On Tuesday, Nov. 28 they beat Highland 42-33 at Craigmont and on Friday, Dec. 1 they beat Kendrick 47-44 at Cottonwood.
At Highland
Claira Osborne and Erin Chmelik both stuffed the stat sheet to lead Summit to their win over Highland.
Osborne scored 11 points and added 17 rebounds and 5 assists while Chmelik scored 7 points with 8 rebounds and 5 steals.
Summit had balanced scoring as Lexi Currier, Lauren Stubbers and Taylor Lustig each added 8 points. Lustig added 6 rebounds and Currier 5.
The score was tied after 1 quarter at 7-7 with Summit taking an 18-14 lead at the half.
Summit extended the lead to 31-22 after 3 quarter and each team scored 11 in the fourth.

Vs. Kendrick
Stubbers had a double-double to lead the way against Kendrick with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Lustig added 7 points and 11 rebounds and hit a clutch free throw with 20 seconds left.
Osborne scored 8 points with Chmelik and Currier adding 6 points each and Jessie Sonnen scored 4.
Summit started well jumping out to a 14-5 lead by the end of the first quarter. They led 25-17 at the half and 36-30 after 3 quarters then held off Kendrick for the win as the Tigers outscored them by 3 in the final quarter.
Summit is now 3-0 both in league play and overall.
