Summit girls win twice
The Summit Academy Lady Patriots suffered their first two losses of the season this past week. On Thursday, Dec. 7 they lost at Nezperce 26-52 and on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Cottonwood they lost to Deary 27-30.
At Nezperce
Nezperce jumped on Summit early as they took a 4-12 lead by the end of the first quarter and led 9-29 by halftime.
The Indians extended the lead to 16-43 after 3 quarters. Summit outscored them 10-9 in the fourth quarter.
Taylor Lustig led Summit with 11 points with Lauren Stubbers scoring 8, Erin Chmelik 4 and Claira Osborne 3.
Nezperce took over sole possession of first place in the league with the win. Both had been unbeaten in league heading into the game.

Vs. Deary
On Saturday at Cottonwood, Summit started well but Deary came back in the second half to win.
Summit led 9-3 after 1 quarter and still led 12-9 at the half. Deary outscored the Patriots 6-11 in the third quarter to take an 18-20 lead in the fourth quarter and held on through the fourth.
Erin Chmelik led the Lady Patriots in scoring with 10 points with Stubbers adding 7. Lexi Currier scored 5, Lustig 4 and Osborne 1.
Summit is now 3-2 both overall and in league play.
