Youth group events for March
Dear Youth in Christ,
As I am writing this March letter there is still snow on the ground and the weather still speaks that winter is in control.  I am hopeful as we move deeper into March that warmer weather will arrive, and the signs of Spring will appear.  I am really looking forward to a shift in seasons.  We all long for a change this time of year, something that will bring “new life” to our static way of being.  It is here, that I invite you to encounter God’s newness through our March youth activities!
There is no youth group on Wednesday, March 7th I will be celebrating with my granddaughter Skylar on her 2nd birthday!
On March 9th the group heading to Boise for ICYC will meet at St. Mary’s parking lot at 9:00 a.m. prompt.  We will load the bus at 9:15 a.m.  We should be returning from Boise around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.  Please keep us in your prayers and thank you again for your support!
On March 13th we will have a team meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Habit to finalize our schedule for the Jr. High retreat.  All team members, including High School youth are invited to attend.
On March 14th I am leaving for a conference in Los Angeles. I along with Julie Arnzen will be attending the Catholic Education Congress from the 14th to the 19th.  Please keep us in your prayers.  We will have a Confirmation class while I am in L.A. The class will be on March 18th at 9:15 at the CEC.  Thank you to my Confirmation team for leading these young hearts closer to God through the Holy Spirit while I’m gone! Happy St. Patrick’s Day to everyone on March 17th!
On March 20th the High School leadership team will be hosting a Bible Study at the OMG room at 7:00 p.m.  We will have pizza at 6:30 and the study at 7:00.  Each of the team members will be inviting someone to join the group as they begin to form groups of their own.   On March 21st the Haiti team will be hosting a taco dinner at the KC hall from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  This is also the night of the penance service at St. Mary’s, so you can join us for dinner before heading to Church.  We would love to see you and thank you for your support!  On March 23rd the Confirmation class will be hosting the stations of the cross at 6:00 p.m. All youth involved in the stations are asked to be at the Church at 4:45 for rehearsal.
On Monday, March 26th the high school girls are invited to the OMG at 7:00 for a “Night of Radiance”. We will have food at 6:30 and do our study at 7:00.  On March 28th we will have a social for the Jr. High and High School.  My hope is to go to watch the movie about St. Paul that will be coming out on the 28th of March either in Grangeville or Lewiston.   Please watch the bulletin for more info .
May the blessings of the Lenten season bring you new awareness in yourself and God and I pray many blessings upon you and your family during this holy time of year!
In Christ,
Debbie
