Hospice volunteer training offered
Volunteers ARE THE HEART of Hospice.   Syringa Hospital & Clinics (SHC) Hospice is conducting a 2 day training program for mature and caring individuals who desire to volunteer with the only Hospice in this area.  Hospice serves 12 communities in Idaho and Lewis counties so we welcome volunteers from all local communities.
Hospice is more than a place – it is a philosophy of care for persons at the end of life.  Hospice seeks to enhance the dying person’s quality of life and to provide support for family and other caregivers.  We at SHC Hospice work as a team and focus on the hope that every day will be the best that it can be for the patient and their family.  Volunteers help to make this a reality.
The volunteer training program is 9am – 4:00pm on Tuesday, April 16th and Thursday, April 18th at the Soltman Center, 600 W. Main St. in Grangeville (across from SHC).  Refreshments & lunch will be provided both days.
Please pre-register by calling Syringa Hospice at 983-8550 or toll free 800-772-5137 & ask for Cindy or Tara.
