3 relays finish 1st at Kamiah
Three Prairie girls relay teams came away with first place finishes at a 9 school track meet held at Kamiah Tuesday, Marcha 20.
The 4x100 team of Theresa Wemhoff, Ellea Uhlenkott, Jordyn Higgins and Laney Uhlenkott finished first in 54.39.
The 4x200 team of Wemhoff, Ciara Chaffee, Higgins and Laney Uhlenkott finished first in 1:57.20.
The 4x400 team of Wemhoff, Higgins, Chaffe and Laney Uhlenkott finished first in 4:42.40.
The highest individual finishers were Chaffee, who was second in the girls 800 in 2:40.34, Carson Schmidt, who was second in the boys discus at 123’1” and Sean Spencer, who was second in the long jump at 18’8”.
Chaffee was also 6th in the 1600 in 6:09.49 and Schmidt was also 4th in the shot put at 40’7½”.
Spencer was also 5th in the 100 meter dash in 11.87.
Other girls results:
Laney Uhlenkott was third in the 200 in 29.06.
Wemhoff was 4th in the 200 in 29.23.
Sierra McWilliams was 4th in the 400 in 1:06.03, 4th in the 3200 in 12:50.55 and 8th in the 200 in 29.90.
Kristyna Krogh was 6th in the 3200 in 14:38.33, 8th in the 1600 in 6:40.40 and 9th in the 400 in 1:16.84.
Ellea Uhlenkott was 3rd in the 300 hurdles in 58.57, third in the long jump at 12’10½” and 5th in the 100 hurdles in 19.23.
Emma Gehring was third in the shot put at 28’6½” and 4th in the discus at 87’7”.
Koleen Hasselstrom was 9th in the shot put at 25’4½” and 13th in the discus at 60’6”.
Trista Latimer was 16th in the discus at 54’3” and 19th in the shot put at 19’2”.
As a team the girls finished in first place with 94 points, 1 ahead of Orofino. Their win in the 4x400, the final event of the day, also won them the meet.
Other boys results:
Hayden Uhlenkott was 6th in the discus at 107’4” and 26th in the shot put at 29’6”.
Justin Lockett was 7th in the 3200 in 13:28.34 and 21st in the 400 in 1:08.12.
Caleb McGee was 10th in the long jump at 16’2”.
Tucker Hibbard was 13th in the discus at 96’1” and 25th in the shot put at 30’½”.
Matt Coppernoll was 15th in the discus at 94’0” and 23rd in the shot put at 30’9”.
Cole Martin was 17th in the 100 in 12.54 and 21st in the long jump at 14’2”.
Daniel Megale was 20th in the 200 in 30.40 and 27th in the 100 in 14.08.
Zac Arnzen was 21st in the 200 in 31.30 and 22nd in the 400 in 1:09.52.
Tyler Wemhoff was 29th in the 100 in 14.18.
Reid Uptmor was 16th in the 400 in 1:06.14, 18th in the discus at 88’10” and 30th in the shot put at 26’11”.
John Gehring was 26th in the discus at 75’10”.
The 4x200 relay team of Zac Arnzen, Wemhoff, Gehring and Megale was 7th in the 1:56.32.
The 4x100 team of Arnzen, Gehring, Megale and Wemhoff was 9th in 56.44.
As a team the boys place 7th with 36 pts.
