Spring Show set for May 3-5
The Central Idaho Art Association (CIAA) will hold their 51st Annual Spring Show on May 3, 4 and 5.
This year a NEW VENUE for the show is the Super 8, 801 SW 1st Street/Highway 95, Grangeville, the show will be Gloria Teatsheld in the motel entry Conference Room.
The CIAA is honored to have Gloria Dawson Teats as its judge. Gloria is a well-known local artist and has been an art instructor for 30 years. She began her formal art training in 1977, studying in classes taught by Gladys Baker Bond, who in turn studied under one of America's masters, Thomas Hart Benton. She continued her studies with well-known artists Delbert Gish, WM Reese, David Leffel, Ted Geoshner and Matt Smith among others. Born and raised and living on ranches in central Idaho, Ms. Teats is known for her landscapes in oils. Her paintings reflect the splendor of this part of the country. Her favorite subjects come from the Salmon River, Hell's Canyon and the Seven Devils Mountains. 
During the month of September, The Dahmen Barn in Uniontown will be displaying her Seven Devils Mountains work. Ms. Teats is an award-winning artist known for her clear colors and expressive brush work. 
CIAA Art Show and Sale is open to the public May 3 (9:00am – 5:00pm), May 4 (9:00am – 7pm) and May 5 (10:00am - 4:00pm).
