Two relays take first at Nez Perce Games
Two girls relay teams came away with first place finishes at the Nez Perce Games held at Kamiah Friday, April 20.
The 4x200 team of Theresa Wemhoff, Sierra McWilliams, Jordyn Higgins and Laney Uhlenkott placed first in 1:53.44 while the 4x400 team of Wemhoff Higgins, Ciara Chaffee and Laney Uhlenkott finished first in 4:25.05.
Top individual finishers for the girls were Ciara Chaffee with a 2nd in the 800 at 2:34.99 and Ellea Uhlenkott with a 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 53.98. Chaffee was also fourth in the 1600 in 6:00.63 and Ellea was also 10th in the 100 hurdles in 20.53 and 8th in the long jump at 13’7½”.
The boys top finishers was Sean Spencer with second place finishes in both the 800 in 2:08.95 and the 110 hurdles in 16.53. he was also 3rd in the 300 hurdles in 46.45 and 3rd in the long jump with a personal best 19’9½”.
Other girls results:
Wemhoff was third in the 200 meter dash in 28.37.
Laney Uhlenkott was 4th in the 200 in 28.58.
McWilliams was third in the 1600 in 6:00.43 and fourth in the 400 in 1:06.63.
Kristyna Krogh was 5th in the 3200 in 15:08.80 and 8th in the 1600 in 6:44.68.
Emma Gehring was 6th in the discus at 85’2” and 12th in the shot put at 27’5”.
Higgins was 8th in the 200 in 29.10.
CiCi Chavez was 8th in the 400 in 1:08.68, 15th in the 200 in 31.15 and 16th in the 100 in 14.43.
Koleen Hasselstrom was 9th in the discus at 82.8” and 10th in the shot put at 28’8½”.
Trista Latimer was 21st in the discus at 56’10” and 25th in the shot at 20’5”.
The girls 4x100 relay team of Wemhoff, Ellea Uhlenkott, Higgins and Laney Uhlenkott was 2nd in 53.62.
As a team the girls placed third outof 11 teams with 82 points behind McCall-Donnelly and Deary.
Other boys results:
Damian Forsmann was 4th in the high jump at 5’4”.He also ran in the 1600 but no time or place are available.
Cole Martin was 6th in the 200 in 24.82, 8th in the 100 in 11.71, and 6th in the long jump at 19’2”.
Hayden Uhlenkott was 5th in the discus at 114’10” and 17th in the shot put at 33’8”.
James Villamor was 5th in the 3200 in 11:57.09. He also ran in the 1600 but no time or place are available.
Carson Schmidt was 6th in the shot put at 41’1½” and 8th in the discus at 113’4”.
Matt Coppernoll was 9th in the discus at 112’5” and 24th in the shot at 30’2½”.
Justin Lockett was 9th in the 3200 in 13:03.41. He also ran in the 1600 but no time or place are available.
Reid Uptmor was 13th in the discus at 101’5”, 14th in the 400 in 1:05.21 and 23rd in the shot at 30’4½”.
Caleb McGee was 13th in the 200 in 25.90.
Anthony Karel was 15th in the shot put at 34’1¾” and 19th in the discus at 87’11”.
Derik Shears was 17th in the 200 in 27.56 and 25th in the long jump at 14’2”.
Tyler Wemhoff was 17th in the 400 in 1:06.20 and also ran in the 1600 but no time or place are available.
Wes Munger was 20th in the 200 in 27.73, 28th in the 100 in 14.19 and 32nd in the long jump at 10’7”.
Zac Arnzen was 20th in the 400 in 1:09.66 and 28th in the 100 in 14.19.
Tucker Hibbard was 22nd in the shot put at 30’11”.
John Gehring was 24th in the discus at 75’10”.
Daniel Megale was 25th in the 100 in 13.86, 26th in the 200 in 29.62 and 36th in the discus at 52’1”.
Ryan Arnzen was 32nd in the shot at 25’4” and 26th in the discus at 69’3”.
The 4x100 relay team of Gehring, Shears, McGee and Martin finished 7th in 49.31. the 4x100 team of Zac Arnzen, Munger, Wemhoff and Uptmor finished 10th in 56.52.
The 4x200 team of McGee, Zac Arnzen, Megale and Gehring finished 7th in 1:50.90.
As a team the boys placed 5th out of 11 teams with 54.5 points.
