auction raises funds for Idaho County Search & Rescue
On April 28th the Idaho County Sheriff's Office had a Surplus Auction for a fundraiser for Idaho County Search and Rescue.
We are grateful to the citizens of the county who came out to support the fundraiser. The auction was full of military surplus items that can only reach the hands of the public by going through the Sheriff's Office first. A big thank you to the Idaho County Sheriff's Office employees who were willing to go through the effort to acquire these government surplus items.
Sheriff Doug Giddings, Undersheriff Jim Gorges, Justin Scuka, Cliff Jones, and Trudy Slagle are to be commended for going above and beyond their normal job duties to make this program such a great success; the auction proceeds were over $130,000!  A win-win situation: the county budget benefits, the citizens have access to slightly used military equipment, and Search and Rescue has operation funds.
