Track team competes at two meets
The Prairie Track team competed at two meets this past week.
On Tuesday, April 24, they competed in a 10-team track meet at Lapwai where all four girls relays finished in first place with Sierra McWilliams in the girls 3200, Sean Spencer in both the 110 and 300 hurdles and Carson Schmidt in both the shot put and discus all recording first place finishes.
On Saturday, April 28, Prairie competed at the White Pine Meet at Kamiah where all four girls relaysagain finished in first place with Spencer in the 110 hurdles and Schmidt in the discus each also finishing in first place.
Lapwai Meet
Spencer won the 110 hurdles in 17.46 and the 300 hurdles in 45.54. He also placed third in the long jump at 18’7½” and 7th in the 100 in 12.26.
Schmidt finished first in the shot put with a mark of 38’10½” and first in the discus at 124’1”.

The girls 4x100 team of Theresa Wemhoff, Jordyn Higgins, Ellea Uhlenkott and Laney Uhlenkott placed first with a time of 54.59.
The girls 4x200 team of Wemhoff, McWilliams, Higgins and Laney Uhlenkott placed first in 1:57.42.
The girls 4x400 team of Wemhoff, Chaffee, Higgins and Laney Uhlenkott places first in 4:278.86.
The girls medley team of Wemhoff, Higgins, Laney Uhlenkott and McWilliams placed first in 2:02.48.
Other boys results:
Cole Martin was 2nd in the 400 in 58.18, 4th in the long jump at 18’6”, 6th in the 100 in 12.25 and 12th in the 200 in 25.46.
Justin Lockett placed third in the 3200 in 11:07.53.
Matt Coppernoll was third in the discus at 119’9” and 17th in the shot put at 31’5”.
Damian Forsmann was 6th in the high jump at 5’4” and 9th in the 1600 in 5:32.56.
Hayden Uhlenkott was 6th in the discus at 114’5” and 15th in the shot put at 32’4½”.
Derik Shears was 7th in the high jump at 5’4”, 7th in the long jump at 18’1½” and 18th in the 100 in 13.26.
Tyler Wemhoff was 7th in the 400 in 1:05.86 and 28th in the 200 in 30.14.
Reid Uptmor was 9th in the 400 in 1:06.81, 21st in the discus at 73’8” and 22nd in the shot put at 28’9½”.
Caleb McGee was 10th in the 200 in 25.44.
James Villamor was 10th in the 3200 in 12:51.56.
Tucker Hibbard was 11th in the discus at 99’2” and 21st in the shot put at 29’9”.
Zac Arnzen was 11th in the 400 in 1:11.96 and 29th in the 200 in 31.37.
Anthony Karel was 12th in the shot at 34’9” and 16th in the discus at 87’11”.
John Gehring was 18thn the discus at 80’8”.
Ryan Arnzen was 23rd in the shot at 27’0” and 23rd in the discus at 69’0”.
Wes Munger was 24th in the long jump at 13’3”, 30th in the 100 in 14.16 and 30th in the 200 in 31.73.
Daniel Megale was 26th in the 200 in 29.48 and 29th in the 100 in 14.03.
The boys 4x200 relay of Zac Arnzen, Forsmann, Shears and Wemhoff took 2nd in 1:55.09.
The 4x100 team of Zac Arnzen, Megale, Gehring and Wemhoff placed 3rd in 56.32.
The 4x400 team of Uptmor, Schmidt, Uhlenkott and Coppernoll placed 4th in 4:19.21.
As a team the boys placed 2nd with 107 points.

Chaffee was 2nd in the 800 in 2:39.64 and 3rd in the 1600 in 5:59.06.
Ellea Uhlenkott was 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 53.61, 4th in the long jump at 14’2” and 6th in the 100 hurdles in 19.29.
Emma Gehring was 3rd in the discus at 90’9” and 8th in the shot put at 26’2”.
Koleen Hasselstrom was 5th in the shot put at 26’10” and 6th in the discus at 80’2”.
CiCi Chavez was 5th in the 400 in 1:09.64, 11th in the 200 in 31.40 and 20th in the 100 in 15.08.
Kristyna Krogh was 6th in the 800 in 2:58.58,  8th in the 1600 in 6:35.53 and 10th in the 400 in 1:18.98.
Maria Schmidt was 6th in the 400 in 1:12.89, 15th in the 200 in 31.96 and 24th in the 100 in 15.56.
Trista Latimer was 9th in the discus at 71’6” and 15th in the shot put at 23’5½”.
As a team the girls placed 2nd with 109½ points.

The girls 4x200 team of Wemhoff, McWilliams, Higgins and Laney Uhlenkott was 1st in 1:53.96.
The girls 4x400 team of Wemhoff, Chaffee, Higgins and Laney Uhlenkott was 1st in 4:22.62.
The girls medley team of Ellea Uhlenkott, Higgins, Wemhoff and Laney Uhlenkott was 1st in 1:59.93.
Other girls results:
Ellea Uhlenkott was 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 52.18 and 3rd in the long jump at 14’4¾”.
Gehring was 2nd in the discus at 97’3” and 9th in the shot put at 26’7½”.
McWilliams was 3rd in the 800 in 2:31.52 and 5th in the 1600 at 6:01.05.
Chaffee was 4th in the 1600 in 5:56.35 and 5th in the 800 in 2:41.64.
Hasselstrom was 8th in the shot at 27’0” and 8th in the discus at 80’8”.
Chavez was 10th in the 200 in 30.23, 10th in the 400 in 1:09.77 and 20th in the 100 in 14.95.
Schmidt was 12th in the long jump at 12’7½”.
Latimer was 17th in the discus at 65’11” and 24th in the shot at 19’7½”.
Krogh was 15th in the 400 in 1:17.11.
As a team the girls were 3rd with 83 points.

Wemhoff was 27th in the 100 in 14.06.
Ryan Arnzen was 29th in the shot at 27’1” and 29th in the discus at 66’1”.
The 4x400 relay team of Martin, Schmidt, Spencer and Shears was 5th in 3:50.44.
The medley team of Zac Arnzen, Megale, Shears and Wemhoff was 5th in 4:55.37.
The 4x100 team of Zac Arnzen, Megale, Gehring and Wemhoff was 8th in 56.29.
The 4x200 team of Gehring, Munger, Megale and Wemhoff was 8th in 1:56.90.
As a team the boys placed 6th out of 12 teams with 53½ points.
