Vietnam vets to be honored
Calling all Vets! Help us give our brothers and sisters from the Vietnam Conflict the Welcome Home they deserve. Join us for the second annual Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day at the Idaho County Veterans Center, 318 East Main in Grangeville.
The events will be held on Sunday, on June 24. Doors open at 12 noon with program, lunch and entertainment to follow.
The meal will be smoked tri-tip with beans, cole slaw and dessert. There will be a few speeches, a lot of fellowship and great entertainment by Vintage Youth.
Veterans, their families, and those who support our Veterans are welcome.
A “stand-down” providing a variety of home safety equipment for each Veteran will be conducted by Grangeville Elks Lodge 1825.
This event is made possible through a grant from the Elks National Foundation and Grangeville Elks Lodge 1825. It is sponsored by the Idaho County Veterans Association, VFW Crea-DeHaven Post 3520 and Richard Jacobs Post 4902, and American Legion White Bird Post 152 and Grangeville Post 27. Many thanks to TLC4Vets and Grangeville Lions Club for their contributions.
The Idaho County Veterans Center is open weekdays 9 am to 4 pm. For more information, call 208-983-9387 or visit www.facebook.com/idcovetscenter.
