Greencreek celebration is Wednesday
The annual Greencreek 4th of July Celebration will be held next Wednesday, July 4 starting at 6 a.m. with a flag raising ceremony.
Mike Schumacher is the Grand Marshal for this year’s event.
Fr. Paul Wander will hold a Mass at 7 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church and the breakfast gets started in the Greencreek Hall as well. The breakfast runs through 10 a.m. and is $8 for those 12 and older, $5 for 6-11 year olds with age 5 and under eating free.
Kiddie Rides and concessions will be out in the lawn to the west of the Hall will Bingo will be going on inside the Hall.
At noon the Street Sports get started featuring racing, an egg toss and a watermelon eating competition.
After the street sports there will be a Quilts of Valor presentation.
Once that is done the auction will begin capped off by the prize drawing.
The Greencreek Altar Society will be selling hamburgers and homemade pies inside the hall starting at noon.
There will also be a beergarden under the large tree to the west of the hall.
The event serves as a fundraiser for upkeep of the Greencreek Hall.
Come to Greencreek on the fourth and enjoy good food and good fun.
