72 pints donated
The Cottonwood Community Blood Drive had a goal of 80 pints and obtained 72.  “We had 92 donors through the door but due to deferrals we missed our goal” says Brenda Kaschmitter chair for the Cottonwood Community Blood Drive.
“Even though we missed our goal we still have to rely on our volunteers,” said Donna Quick.  “We honestly could not hold this drive without them; we would like to extend a big thank you to Linda Arnzen, Lydia Deiss, Judy Forsman, Carol Lauer, Joyce Lorentz, Mary Lorentz, Bobbie Schmidt, Doris Sonnen, Sylvia Uhling, and Theresa Uptmor.  We also would like to thank Anna Kaschmitter for putting up the posters beforehand”.  Another big thank you goes out to the local VFW for always supplying lunch for the workers and volunteers.
Brenda and Donna agree that a big thank you also has to go out to all of those in our community which includes our fellow employees from St. Mary’s Hospital for coming out in full force to give blood. “We are so thankful that we live in an area that supports this drive so completely; we could not accomplish this goal without all of you!”
The next blood drive is scheduled for August 28, 2018; please contact Brenda Kaschmitter or Donna Quick at 962-3251 if you would like to make an appointment.
