Writer in Residence to be in Cottonwood
Christian Winn, Idaho’s Writer in Residence, will visit St. Maries, Harrison and Cottonwood in mid-July to present readings and conduct a craft talk and workshop for local writing and reading enthusiasts. Christian Winn.
On Tuesday, July 17th, Winn will travel to Cottonwood to present a reading at the Monastery of St. Gertrudes. The reading, followed by a Q&A, discussion and reception will be from 7-8 pm.  And will be in the Johanna Room at the Spirit Center. 
Events are free and the public is encouraged to attend.  
ABOUT IDAHO’S WRITER IN RESIDENCE 
The Idaho Writer in Residence represents the highest literary recognition in the state and those who hold the position embody exceptional quality in their field. Christian Winn is the current Writer in Residence (2016-2019), as part of his three-year term, Winn travels throughout the state to conduct readings and talk about craft; he participates in events and leads discussions at libraries, schools, community centers and for other lit-loving organizations and groups. Winn is the author of Naked Me and What’s Wrong With You Is What’s Wrong With Me, both short story collections from Dock Street Press; founder of the Writers Write workshop; a teaching writer with The Cabin and co-founder of Storyfort, a part of Treefort Music Fest.
The Idaho Commission on the Arts is the official state agency for the support & development of the arts in Idaho. The Commission promotes excellence, education in the arts, access to the arts, and community investment in the arts. Its professional staff administers and develops the programs and services of the agency, assists grant applicants, and provides technical assistance.
