4-H'ers learn about fitting and showing at clinic
On July 24th the University of Idaho, Idaho County Extension Office hosted a fitting and showing clinic for livestock 4-H members at the Idaho County Fairgrounds in Cottonwood. The members were educated on how to fit, and trim their animals for show. Presenters also demonstrated how to properly show and handle the animals. The purpose of this clinic was to help prepare 4-H members for the Idaho County Fair coming up in August. The clinic was organized by University of Idaho student intern Klae O’Brien and Idaho County 4-H Intern, Laina Sonnen. Presenters were: Jim Church and Klae O’Brien, beef; Cindy Godfrey, swine; Tiffany Forsmann, sheep; and Summer Duman, goats. Approximately 100 4-H members were in attendance.
