The hottest roping in the northwest was held on August 4th and 5th brought contestants from Idaho, Montana, Utah, California, Washington and Oregon, to the Camas Prairie for HOT AUGUST LOOPS roping held at Two Bar V Livestock’s arena located outside of Cottonwood, Idaho.  At almost 100 contestants competing in the weekend events and paying out over $35k, this was the largest breakaway jackpot payout for the northwest so far in the 2018 circuit standings.  Events were sanctioned with the WSRRA (Western States Ranch Rodeo Association) and with WPRA (Women’s Pro Rodeo Association) and covering the three surrounding circuits in rodeo – Wilderness, Columbia River and Montana Circuit.
Hot August Loops hosted a qualifier for RFD-TV’s The American for the women’s breakaway and men’s tie down events.  12 total competitors will travel to Texas in February for the semi-finals to compete to for the next level and at over a million dollars!  Watch RFD-TV and follow the contestants, as they will represent Two Bar V Livestock as they participate in The American.

It was a fun packed roping with outstanding athletes competing.  Renee and Anthony are honored to bring such an event to their small community and have such a success in doing so.   As a family, they take pride in being able to produce this event with their own cattle they raise and using their own facilities they built.  Recently they had property improvements done by Pat Madden allowing them to accommodate additional parking and room to build a cook shack, where a hospitality tent and cook shack could be used. Donated food from Cottonwood Foods and Pepsi kept contestants and spectators hydrated and taste buds satisfied.
Two Bar V Livestock extend a congratulations to the following champions who received a fat check, along with miscellaneous awards from the Two Bar V Livestock and donated items from local Sponsors, Rosebud Shavings, Sonora Boutique,  Noni Formula 1, Priefert Ranch Equipment, Tres Rios Silver and Nothing but Neck.

Many thanks go to our supporters and sponsors.  Without the sponsorship from our sponsors, help and time from family and friends, donated materials and awards, and all the support from everyone above and in between, we would not be able to do our job to produce this roping and draw first-class athletes to compete in it.  The list is never-ending, THANK YOU!
