Kurruk honored for 40 years at Syringa
Suzanne (Sue) Kurruk, RN was hired by Syringa General Hospital in 1978. Currently a Data Analyst for the Quality department, Kurruk has served as staff RN, Director of Nursing and Director of Quality.
Kurruk joined Syringa the 39th year of operation. As she celebrates her 40th year on staff, it is realized that SHC has benefited from her exemplary patient care longer than it was ever without her.
As part of SHC’s week long employee celebration, milestone employees were honored at an all staff luncheon Wednesday, August 22.
After receiving her award Kurruk stated she is not retiring, and that she still wakes up every day ready to come to work.
“I have been a nurse longer than I have been anything else in my life,” said Kurruk. “I look at every situation as a nurse and continue to learn and teach as a nurse. I am thankful for everything the people at Syringa have taught me. Carry on!”
Other milestone honorees during this year’s celebration included: Tammy Lorentz and Bill Spencer (20 years), Lori Graham, RN and Kim Spencer (15 years), Darla Anglen-Whitley, Jill Devereaux and Carrie Page (10 years), Amy Cline, Stephanie Hake, RN, Shane Henry, PharmD, Stephanie Hohman, Verna Larisma, Laura McConnell, Matthew McPherson, Mari Mort, Dr. Matthew Told, and Diane Turner (5 years).
