Cross Country at Seaport Invite
The Prairie Cross Country team competed at the Seaport Invite hosted by Clarkston High School in Clarkston Saturday, Sept. 15.
Ciara Chaffee, who had issues with a new dental retainer affecting her breathing in the previous meet, was Prairie’s top finisher with a 21st place finish in the girls varsity race. 
As a team the girls finished 8th but third among schools they will compete against at District.
Chaffee’s time was 22:06.20. Next up for the girls team was Kendra Duclos in 43rd place in 23:53.71. Maria Schmidt was 49th in 24:55.14. Kyleigh Duclos was 52nd in 25:10.31, just edging out teammate Jessie Sonnen who was 53rd in 25:11.07. Hope McIntire wasn’t far behind in 54th in 25:24.39 with Mattie Lustig right behind McIntire in 55th in 25:29.06.
Tanner Hibbard was the top finisher on the boys varsity team as he placed 40th in 18:32. 89. As a team Prairie was 10th overall, 4th among district teams.
Devin Ross was next across the finish line for Prairie in 54th in 19:44.04. James Villamor placed 60th in 20:14.16 with William Hooper in 67th in 21:40.59. Justin Lockett was 74th in 22:28.89.
Prairie had 2 runners in the girls JV race with Kerri Villamor finishing in 11th place in 25:11.51 and Jacey Rambo placing 19th in 28:03.07.
Prairie also had 2 runners in the boys JV race with Alex McElroy, in his first race, finishing in 98th in 25:26.29. Ryan Arnzen placed 109th in 30:20.27.
Prairie also had their first ever junior high runners with 2 girls in the 1.5 mile junior high race. Zoey Hooper place 14th in 10:12.89 and Julia Rehder placed 69th in 12:58.12.
Schedule Changes
The CrossCountry team has cancelled out of the Moscow meet which had been moved from Saturday to Friday and has added a meet hosted by Timberline at Deyo Reservoir on Tuesday, Sept. 25.
The also cancelled out of the Potlatch Invitational which was held Sept. 18, due to illness.

Ciara Chaffee was the top girls finisher for Prairie in 21st place.

Tanner Hibbard was, again,  the top finisher for the boys team in 40th place.

Kendra Duclos placed 43rd..

Devin Ross placed 54th.

Mattie Lustig placed 49th.

James Villamor placed 60th.

Jessie Sonnen and Kyleigh Duclos raced together most of the race with Duclos edging out Sonnen for 52nd to Sonnen's 53rd place finish.

William Hooper placed 69th.

Hope McIntire was right behind the above two in 54th place.

Justin Lockett placed 74th.

Mattie Lustig was right behind McIntire in 55th place.

Ryan Arnzen and Alex McElroy were in the boys JV race.
