Election Day is Tuesday
The Election is set for next Tuesday, Nov. 6 with polls open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
There are no contested races for any of the Idaho County positions up for election. Also there are no contested races for either the state representative races or for state senator. Only the Republican incumbents are on the ballot.
The Congressional race and several of the statewide offices are contested.
To succeed incumbent Raul Labrador they are 6 people on the ballot. Russ Fulcher is the Republican nominee with Christina McNeil as the Democratic nominee. W. Scott Howard is the Libertarian nominee. Pro-Life (a person formerly known as Marvin Richardson) is the Constitution Party nominee and Gordon Counsil, Paul Farmer and Natalie M. Fleming are running as independents.
The are four people on the ballot for Governor to succeed  Butch Otter. Lt. Governor Brad Little is the Republican nominee. Paulette Jordan is the Democratic nominee. Bev “Angel” Boeck is the Libertarian and Walter L. Bayes is the Constitution Party nominee.
Republican Janice McGeachin and Democrat Kristin Collum are vying for the Lieutenant Governor position being vacated by Brad Little.
Incumbent Republican Lawerence E. Denney is being challenged by Democrat Jill Humble for the Secretary of State position.
Republican incumbent Lawrence Wasden is being challenged by Democrat Bruce S. Bistline for Attorney General.
Incumbent Republican Sherri Ybarra is being challenged by Democrat Cindy Wilson for Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Incumbent Republican Brandon D. Woolf  is unchallenged for State Controller and Republican Julie A. Ellsworth is the lone person on the ballot for State Treasurer.
There are 2 Propositions on the ballot. Proposition 1 has to do with basically adding horse racing gaming machines at horse racing sites in Idaho. 
Proposition 2 looks to expand Medicaid eligibility.
Another ballot for Idaho County voters is an advisory vote put forth by the Idaho County Commissioners aksing two questions: 1) are you for or against adding more wilderness in Idaho County and 2) are you for or against adding more wild and scenic river segments in Idaho County.
