Walk With Kate raises over $5000
Walk With Kate, on November 3rd, was a huge success.
Although it was a bit chilly we still had a great turn out. About 60 plus children and adults came and walked. I want to give a huge thanks to J.D. Riener and Natalie Day for manning the front table and thanks to Karen and Sabrina Lustig for distributing shirts and taking money. Thank you Terry Cochran for keeping us safe on the road. Thank you Community Health Workers and St. Mary's Clinic for working with me to do a health screening. Thank you to everybody who walked and donated.
At the walk itself we collected about $700 and the overall total is $5,730! Thank you to our donors: Riener's Grocery, The Hangout, Live Wire Electric, Schlader Photography, Cottonwood Credit Union, Dale and Brandy McElroy, Ken and Pat Schmidt, Mick and Judy Forsmann, Forsmann Accounting, Tim and Beth Forsmann, Mary Anne Riener, Cottonwood, Foods, Jim and Sally Rehder, Summer A Emmert Attorney and Law, Joe and Arlene Baerlocher, Colleen Sonnen, Brett Uhlenkott Drilling, Stowers, Mikel & Kay Stevenson, Sharon Montgomery, Stacy Dinning, Adeline Lustig, Rhonda Wemhoff Architecture PLLC, Urban Wassmuth, Chris and Roger Uptmor, Mary Ann Kuther, Duan & Maryln Uhlenkott, Rene Eckert, Rene Forsmann, Linda & Gary Robenson, Scarlett Uhlenkott, Colleen & Tony Bennett, Brent & Tara Rowland Family, Duclos Family, Tony & Geralyn Jentges, Cathy Bross, Gary & Stacie Milliman, Gritman Medical Center, Dione Severns, Allen & Judy Renshaw, Joyce Uptmor, Melissa Curry, and Timothy Knowles.

Thank you to my family for helping me set up and last but not least a huge thanks to Loretta Riener for helping me organize the walk.
All the money collected will go towards Walk With Kate Care Packages. The care package will include: coloring pencils & book, puzzle, a lap blanket, a children’s book about diabetes, stuff animal, carb counting book and medical alert bracelet. The stuff animal is a diabetic education tool, with several injection sites, where kids can practice giving shots. The Stuffed animal has several other diabetic educational features as well. The care packages will be distributed to local hospitals and clinics, where they will then be given to children newly diagnosed with diabetes. Again thank you everybody who helped make this possible.
