The Chess Guy's weekly tip
This week The Chess Guy will not be at restaurants due to the holidays.
Our prison class in Orofino goes well with some 9 regular students rapidly gaining knowledge of the game in intimate detail.  Soon I suspect The Chess Guy will have to sharpen his weapons of war to keep up!
Kids at Peck Elementary, Orofino High, Clearwater Elementary, St. Peter & Paul School, Prairie Elementary, Nezperce Elementary and Summit Academy among others are all enjoying weekly visits by The Chess Guy and seem to all be having a great time learning the game of kings.  Our donation jars all over the Palouse and Clearwater Valley area are filling up with donations.  Freedom Northwest Credit Union has graciously offered to accept donations for the tournament (at Summit Academy on January 5th) directly from your account to ours.  What a great idea!  Thank You FNWCU!
Thanks to all the teachers and librarians that have opened their classrooms and libraries to The Chess Guy to teach this game!
Every year is an adventure.  You never know how many will donate or attend the tournament till it happens.  The Chess Guy continues to be in awe at all the support this community gives to help him teach kids how to think and compete with a humble attitude and a triumphant spirit.
