Girls District Tournaments start this week
The District 2 Girls Basketball Tournaments got underway this week.
Action started Monday Potlatch eliminating Kamiah in Division 1 and on Tuesday in Division 2 with Logos winning at Highland.
In Division 1, Prairie gets into action Friday, Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. as the #2 seed. They will play #3 seeded Troy, who beat Potlatch on Wednesday. At 6 p.m. Friday, Lapwai will play Genesee, who beat C.V. on Wednesday.
The winner on Friday clinches a trip to State and will play for the District championship Friday, Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
The loser will play Monday, Feb. 4 at the home gym of the higher seed. That winner plays on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. for third place. The third place winner travels to Post Falls on Thursday, Feb. 7 to play Wallace at 6 p.m. That winner would have to win again at McCall on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. to advance to State.
In Division 2, Summit Academy gets to host a loser-out game on Saturday, Feb. 2. They will play Logos at 3 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym (old Elementary School gym) in Cottonwood.
If Summit wins that game they would play Kendrick at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 at LCSC. Monday’s winner advances to the championship game on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m. 
The loser will play at 6 p.m. Wednesday. If they win that game they would play the championship game loser at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. for second place. The second place team will advance to a play-in game Saturday Feb. 9 at Grangeville at 1 p.m.
