Lady Pirates to open against Notus
The Prairie Lady Pirates will open against District 3 champion Notus at 3 p.m. MST (2 p.m. our time) at the State tournament Thursday, Feb. 14.
The tournament will be held at Columbia High School in Nampa, the same site as the past several years.
Notus comes in with a 17-5 overall record. They tied with Rimrock for the Western Idaho Conference championship then beat Rimrock in the District championship game 53-48. Rimrock will play Lapwai at 8 p.m. MST on Thursday.
Genesee also qualified for state by winning a pair of play-in games over Wallace and District 4 runner-up Raft River. They will play Districts 5-6 champion Grace at 6:15 p.m. MST. The other game in Prairie’s half of the bracket is District 4 champion Shoshone against District 3 third place team Liberty Charter. That game will be before Prairie’s game.
If Prairie wins their opener, they will play again at 6:15 p.m. Friday. If they should lose, they would play at 1:15 p.m. Friday. See bracket below.
