Pirates win several events at Kamiah meet
T.J. Hibbard, Cole Martin and two girls relays won  events at a 9-school track meet held at Kamiah Thursday, March 21.
Hibbard, a freshman, won the 800 meter run in 2:17.77. He was also 9th in the 200 meter dash in 26.88, 14th in the discuT.J. Hibbard held a substantial lead at the end of the first lap of the 800 and held on to win by a good margin.s at 82’1” and 15th in the shot put at 31’6”.
Martin, a sophomore, won the long jump with a mark of 18’10”. He was also 2nd in the 200 in 24.95 and 3rd in the 100 in 12.19.
Carson Schmidt, a senior, won the shot put with a mark of 40’2” and was 2nd in the discus at 123’3”.
The girls 4x200 meter relay team of Ellea Uhlenkott, Jordyn Higgins, Sierra McWilliams and Theresa Wemhoff won with a time of 1:54.71. The same four girls teamed up to win the 4x400 meter relay in 4:33.93.
Other boys results:
Hayden Uhlenkott was 4th in the discus at 110’1” and 12th in the shot put at 33’5”.
Jesse Cronan was 4th in the long jump at 16’2”, 15th in the woo in 27.75 and 15th in the discus at 82’0”.
Reid Uptmor was 6th in the 400 in 1:02.24, 10th in the discus at 98’1” and 13th in the shot put at 31’11¾”.
John Gehring was 6th in the high jump at 4’10” and 13th in the discus at 84’7”.
Brody Hasselstrom was 7th in the 200 in 26.69, 13th in the 100 in 13.15 and 11th in the discus at 92’8”.
Matt Coppernoll was 7th in the discus at 103’8” and 9th in the shot put at 34’3”.
Zach Rambo was 8th in the 400 in 1:07.28 and 11th in the 1600 in 5:44.28.
James Villamor was 10th in the 1600 in 5:43.60.
Zac Arnzen placed 10th in the 400 in 1:08.07 and 19th in the 200 in 29.29.
William Hooper was 11th in the 800 in 2:37.62.
Tyler Wemhoff was 12th in the 400 in 1:09.20 and 20th in the 1600 in 6:17.30.
Justin Lockett was 14th in the 800 in 2:43.23 and 22nd in the 1600 in 6:21.06.
The boys 4x100 relay team of Zac Arnzen, Cronan, Hasselstrom and Martin placed 3rd in 49.26.
Boys 3200 results were unavailable. Villamor and Wemhoff both competed in the event.
Other girls results:
Ciara Chaffee placed 2nd in the 1600 in 6:24.56 and 2nd in the 3200 in 13:57.01.
Ellea Uhlenkott was 3rd in the 300  hurdles in 55.44.
Erin Chmelik was 4th in the 100 in 14.47, 5th in the 200 in 30.29, 9th in the 100 hurdles in 21.58 and 5th in the long jump at 13’7½”.
Hailey Stubbers was 4th in the 400 in 1:15.32, 7th in the 100 in 15.02 and 10th in the 200 in 32.21.
Theresa Wemhoff was 5th in the 100 in 14.48.
Kolleen Hasselstrom was 6th in the shot put at 27’10½” and 9th in the discus at 80’8”.
Emma Gehring was 7th in the discus at 83’10” and 9th in the shot at 26’9½”.
Jordyn Higgins was 8th in the 100 in 15.02.
Ali Rehder was 8th in the 800 in 3:08.94.
Halle Klapprich was 8th in the 1600 in 8:22.18, 9th in the 800 in 3:12.33 and 16th in the 200 in 33.8.
CiCi Chavez was 11th in the 100 in 15.19 and 17th in the 200 in 34.46.
Jade Gehring was 15th in the shot at 15’½” and 19th in the discus at 48’10”.
Uhlenkott, Higgins, McWilliams and Wemhoff placed 3rd in the 4x100 relay in 54.92.
McWilliams, Stubbers, Chaffee and Chavez placed 3rd in the medley relay in 2:12.44.
Each team placed fourth in the team standings. The boys with 79 pts. and the girls with 86 pts.

Jordyn Higgins has just taken the handoff from Ellea Uhlenkott in the 4x200 relay.

Sierra McWilliams hands off to Theresa Wemhoff for the final leg of the 4x200 relay. Wemhoff was able to pass Grangeville's anchor runner to win the race.
