Track team competes at two meets
The Prairie track team competed at a pair of meets this past week. They were at the Central Idaho Invitational at Lapwai on Tuesday, April 16, and a storm shortened Lewis-Clark/Nez Perce Games at Kamiah on Friday, April 19.
Central Idaho Invitational
There were 22 schools competing at the meet at Lapwai with Cole Martin winning both the 200 and the long jump. Carson Schmidt won the shot put while Ciara Chaffee won the 800 while the girls 4x4
00 relay also won.
Martin won the 200 in 24.31 and the long jump at 20’½”. 
Schmidt won the shot with a heave of 41’6” and was also 5th in the discus at 119’9”.
Chaffee won the 800 in 2:39.57 and was second in the 1600 in 6:02.56.
The girls 4x400 relay team of Ellea Uhlenkott, Jordyn Higgins, Sierra McWilliams and Theresa Wemhoff won in a time of 4:30.4.
Other boys results:
T.J. Hibbard took third in the 800 in 2:12.63 and was 15th in the shot put at 32’7”.
Hayden Uhlenkott was 4th in the discus at 122’4” and 26th in the shot put at 30’4”.
Matt Coppernoll was 6th in the discus at 119’6” and 14th in the shot at 32’7½”.
Brody Hasselstrom was 9th in the 200 in 26.1 and 14th in the discus at 100’1”.
John Gehring was 8th in the high jump at 5’0” and 26th in the discus at 86’4”.
Reid Uptmor was 10th in the discus at 111’1”, 14th in the 400 in 1:01.85 and 18th in the shot at 31’6½”.
Jesse Cronan was 13th n the long jump at 16’7¼”.
James Villamor was 14th in the 3200 in 12:02.04, 17th in the 300 hurdles in 55.97 and 22nd in the 1600 in 5:29.30.
Zac Arnzen was 17th in the 200 in 27.12, 19th in the 400 in 1:04.39 and 29th in the 100 in 13.58.
William Hooper was 20th in the 400 in 1:05.56.
Justin Lockett was 21st in the 800 in 2:39.85 and 33rd in the 1600 in 6:02.02.
Tyler Wemhoff was 21st in the 3200 in 13:45.02 and 29th in the 1600 in 5:51.43.
Ryan Arnzen was 25th in the 3200 in 16:32.80.
Zach Rambo was 28th in the 1600 in 5:46.36.
The 4x200 relay team of Hibbard, Cronan, Hasselstrom and Martin placed 2nd in 1:41.20.
The 4x400 relay team of Hooper, Lockett, Rambo and Villamor placed 4th in 4:32.67.
The 4x100 relay team of Schmidt, Cronan, Hasselstrom and Martin placed 5th in 48.69.
The medley relay team of Hibbard, Cronan, Rambo and Wemhoff placed 5th in 4:34.50.

Ellea Uhlenkott placed 3rd in the 300 hurdles in 51.49.
Kyleigh Duclos was 6th in the 800 in 2:54.40 and was 8th in the 1600 in 6:45.89.
Kendra Duclos was 8th in the 800 in 2:59.60 ns 9th in the 1600 in 6:47.85.
Erin Chmelik was 6th in the 300 hurdles in 54.75, 8th in the 100 in 14.31, 13th in the long jump at 13’3” and 14th in the 100 hurdles in 21.64.
CiCi Chavez was 9th in the 400 in 1:08.83, 11th in the 200 in 30.20 and 12th in the 100 in 14.70.
Emma Gehring was 9th in the discus at 88’0” and 12th in the shot put at 27’5”.
Koleen Hasselstrom was 10th in the shot put at 27’8” and 10th in the discus at 87’4”.
Ali Rehder was 11th in the 1600 in 7:01.28 and 12th in the 800 in 3:01.40.
Halle Klapprich was 11th in the 800 in 3:01.37 and 13th in the 1600 in 7:18.78.
Hailey Stubbers was 15th in the 400 in 1:14.81.
Jade Gehring was 16th in the 400 in 1:17.93, 29th in the 200 in 33.71, 40th in the shot at 15’3” and 44th in the discus at 43’10”.
The girls 4x200 team of Uhlenkott, Higgins, McWilliams and Wemhoff placed 2nd in 1:56.30.
The medley team of Stubbers, McWilliams, Wemhoff and Higgins placed 2nd in 2:04.41.
The 4x100 team of Uhlenkott, Higgins, McWilliams and Wemhoff placed 3rd in 54.44.
A second 4x400 team of Chaffee, Kendra Duclos, Kyleigh Duclos and Rehder placed 5th in 4:55.03.
As a team the boys placed 2nd with 69.5 points and the girls placed 4th with 65 points.
Lewis & Clark/Nez Perce Games
There were 13 schools in attendance at Kamiah with the runners setting up for the 400 when a lightning strike sent the meet into a half hour delay. 3 more lightning strikes later the rest of the meet was cancelled.
In the events that were finished Martin had the only first place finish with a 11.80 clocking in the 100 meter dash. He was also 2nd in the long jump with a mark of 18’7¼”.
Chaffee had the highest individual finish for the girls with a 4th in the 800 in 2:38.09.
Other boys results:
Schmidt took 2nd in the shot put with a mark of 39’7½” and was 3rd in the discus at 113’2.
Coppernoll finished 2nd in the discus at 115’6” and was 6th in the shot put at 35’7½”.
Uhlenkott was 5th in the discus at 112’2” and 7th in the shot put at 34’3”.
Hasselstrom was 7th in the discus at 101’5” and 18th in the 100 in 12.90.
Cronan was 8th in the discus at 98’8” and 11th in the long jump at 16’4”.
Villamor was 8th in the 3200 in 11:43.43.
Uptmor was 9th in the shot at 33’10” and 19th in the discus at 80’1”.
Hibbard was 11th in the shot at 32’9” and 13th in the discus at 84’6½”.
Ryan Arnzen was 16th in the 3200 in 15:52.94.
Hooper was 18th in the shot put at 29’4”.
Zac Arnzen was 26th in the 100 in 13.71.
The 4x100 relay team of Hibbard, Cronan, Hasselstrom and Martin was 3rd in 47.62.
The 4x200 team of Hooper, Lockett, Rambo and Villamor was 4th in 1:59.02.

Hasselstrom was 5th in the discus at 93’3” and 12th in the shot at 27’4”.
Kyleigh Duclos was 5th in the 3200 in 14:38.14.
Kendra Duclos was 6th in the 3200 in 14:39.49.
Emma Gehring was 10th in the discus at 84’0” and 14th in the shot at 26’5½”.
Chavez was 16th in the 100 in 14.68.
Klapprich was 20th in the shot put at 21’3¾”.
Jade Gehring was 25th in the shot at 13’4” and 25th in the discus at 49’7”.
The 4x100 relay team of Uhlenkott, Chavez, McWilliams and Higgins was third in 55.06.
The 4x200 team of Uhlenkott, Chaffee, McWilliams and Higgins was third in 1:56.83 while the team of Kyleigh Duclos, Kendra Duclos, Rehder and Klapprich was 8th in 2:07.84.
As a team the boys were 4th with 64 points while the girls were 6th with 28 points.
