Remacle to retire
Jim Remacle is officially retiring from the Cottonwood Community Federal Credit Union after working there for 17 years. 
Jim began his work history in high school, working for area farmers. After graduating high school he worked for William Berklund Forest Products as a boxcar loader, Gortsema Motors as a mechanic, & the Grangeville Wrecking Yard as a mechanic. In 1966 Jim began his financial journey taking a job with Idaho 1st National Bank as a teller. In 1969 Jim went back to work in the forest industry for Twin Feathers Mill in Kamiah as a dry chain lumber puller. In January of 1972 Jim went back to banking in Kooskia, Idaho with the Bank of Central Idaho as a note teller/bookkeeper. From there, Jim worked for Idaho Bank & Trust as assistant manager/operations officer until December of 1979 when he returned to Cottonwood and worked for Idaho 1st as an assistant manager until 1989. He then worked for West One as an assistant manager until 1996, & then US bank from 1996 until 2002 as a commercial loan officer. Jim retired from US Bank in February of 2002 and took a job with Riener Concrete. The financial industry called him back and Jim soon had a job with Cottonwood Community Federal Credit Union where he has worked for the last 17 years. Jim has worked a total of 52 & 1/2 years in the banking industry. He has been a teller, a bookkeeper and as most of you know a loan officer. He said he learned by the rule of “hard knocks!” His experience and expertise has helped thousands of people and he will be greatly missed! Come celebrate with us, the extraordinary career of a very special man! Each branch of the Cottonwood Community Federal Credit Union will be hosting a celebration for Jim and we would like to invite all of his clients, past & present co-workers, Credit Union friends, associates and community members to come by, visit with Jim, and celebrate his retirement.
