77 participate in Fun Run/Walk
There were 77 competitors in the Raspberry Festival Fun Run/Walk held Sunday, August 4.
There were 53 females and 24 males.
First to cross the finish was Patrick McGuigan, winner of the men’s 5K run. He was also the 11-20 year old age group winner in a time of 23:35.50.
Second to cross the finish line was Ciara Chaffee, who won the women’s 5K run and was first in the 11-20 year age group in 23:57.70.
Melinda Wimer was the overall winner of the women’s 10K run in 50:49.0 and also was first in the 41-50 year old age group.
Joe McGuigan was the overall winner of the men’s 10K run and first in the 11-20 year old age group in 41:16.30.
Donna Nuxoll was the overall winner in the women’s 5K walk in 36:49.70 and also won the 51-60 year old age group.
Max Rehder was the overall winner of the men’s 5K walk in 43:22.30 and also won the 11-20 year old age group.

Patrick McGuigan was the first to cross the finish line as the overall winner of the men's 5K run.

Ciara Chaffee was 2nd across the finish line as the overall winners of the women's 5K run.

Emma Strommen, who was featured a couple years ago in the Chronicle, finished 2nd in the women's 5K and was the 4th overall finisher.

Joe McGuigan, older brother of Patrick above, was the overall winner of the men's 10K run.
