The youngest of four and the only girl, Naomi Connolley is a force to be reckoned with.
The 16-year-old Grangeville High School junior participates in soccer and track, is a member of Lively Livestock 4-H Club and FFA, is active in her church and works for Prime Auto Detailing.
“After I graduate, I hope to attend the University of Idaho and play soccer,” she said.
The 2019 Idaho County Fair Queen is the daughter of Mike and Tara Connolley of Mt. Idaho, and is little sister to Silas (26), Spencer (23) and Hunter (20). She is also the granddaughter of Nancy Connolley of Grangeville, Andy Connolley of White Bird and Cheryl Bransford of White Bird.
“I have enjoyed being a role model for younger kids and also organizing our float and being in parades,” Connolley said of some of her favorite experiences during the past year.
In addition, she said she has had “so much fun getting to experience royalty at the Idaho County Fair and getting to know Madi and Clarissa.”
“I’ve been in 4-H for nine years and I’m so happy that I now get to represent the fair and everything it offers to youth in our area.”

“This experience has been life-changing for me,” smiled 2019 Idaho County Fair First Princess Clarissa Stevens.
Stevens is the youngest child of Fred and Renee Stevens of Grangeville. She is sister to Sarah Musick (32), Warren Stevens (25), Michael Stevens (22), and Rachael Stevens (18). She is the granddaughter of Richard and Delores Lasse of Grangeville.
“This experience has boosted my confidence, developed my people skills and inspired me to be my best,” Stevens added. She said one of her favorite experiences was the Little Princess Tea Party. “I loved seeing all the little girls’ faces.”
The 16-year-old will be a junior this fall at Grangeville High School where she is involved in soccer and drama. She is a former member of Ballet Barre Dance and is currently involved in Freedom Generation Youth Group through Real Life Church as well as baby-sitting and housecleaning.
Following graduation, she said she may attend Boise State University and pursue a degree in public relations, nutrition or interior design.
“I would also like to try out for Miss Idaho,” she said. This year she served as a “Little Sister” for the Distinguished Young Women of the Camas Prairie Program.

Madison Adams experienced a major life event his year: She graduated from Grangeville High School May 24.
The 18 year old is currently a certified nursing assistant at Grangeville Health and Rehabilitation and plans to attend Lewis-Clark State College this year to further her medical education and eventually go into nursing school.
“Royalty has been a great experience all around for me,” she stated. “To take three young girls and turn them into amazing friends is special.”
Adams is the daughter of Nick and Heather Slichter and Chris Adams. She is big sister to brothers Ryan (16), and Chase (13), as well as Brooklynn (13). Her grandparents are Teresa and Allen York and Leon and Sheryl Slichter.
Adams said volunteer work has played a big role in the lives of the Idaho County Fair royalty and allowed them to become involved in their hometown communities.
“And even larger communities – such as at Lewiston’s Round-up Parade. That was a very warm day, cooped up in a large dress,” she recalled. “And the cold, winter parades, too. Each time we get together, it brings us closer. That is the best of experiences.”
