finishes 2nd at Kamiah
Prairie had 3 top 6 finishers in the girls 5K cross country race at the CV-Kamiah Invite held Thursday, Sept. 5 at Kamiah. Ciara Chaffee finished 2nd in 22:43 and was about 1 minute behind the first place finisher from Logos. Jessie Sonnen placed 4th in 24:29 and Kyleigh Duclos was 6th in 24:56. Mattie Lustig placed 13th in 28:40 and Sierra Chapman was 17th in 30:50. As a team Prairie placed 2nd with 33 points compared to 24 for Logos. The boys team placed third behind Logos and C.V./Kamiah. William Hooper was the boys’ top finisher as he placed 12th in 20:58. Next up was Kyle Schwartz in 13th at 21:05. Caleb McGee was 20th in the 23:38 with Justin Lockett in 22nd in 23:56 and Morgan Poxleitner in 23rd at 32:07. In the junior high race Zoe Hooper placed 1st among the girls in the 1.5 mile race in 10:31. Lee Forsmann was 9th in the boys race at 11:54.
