finish in the top 10 at Moose Creek Invite
The Prairie Cross Country team was short a few runners as they competed at the Moose Creek Invite near Bovill Thursday, Sept. 19. Ciara Chaffee again led the way as she finished 4th with a time of 21:45 over the 2.7 mile course. Jessie Sonnen finished 12th in 23:34 and Mattie Lustig was 16th in 25:16. For the boys team Prairie had 2 top 10 finishers as Kyle Schwartz placed 7th in 19:03 and William Hooper was 10th in 19:17. Justin Lockett finished 28th in 20:54 and Caleb McGee was 29th in 21:00. In the junior high race Zoe Hooper placed 8th with a time of 11:39 over 1.8 miles course. Addie Crowl was 40th in 14:38 and Katrina George was 41st in 14:50. For the boys Lee Forsmann finished 17th in 11:52. The team’s next meet will be the Spartan Invite at Deyo Reservoir near Weippe this Thursday, Sept. 26.
