earn medals at Moscow
3 girls on the Prairie Cross Country team finished in the top 10 at the Bob Weisel Moscow Invitational Meet Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Moscow Elks Golf Course in Moscow. Ciara Chaffee finished in 4th in 22:58.170. Kyleigh Duclos was 8th in 24:55.900 and Jessie Sonnen was 9th in 25:33.174. All 3 received medals. Just missing out on a medal was Mattie Lustig who finished in 11th place in 27:12.044. Leann Lightfield was 13th in 28:00.940 and Jacey Rambo was 15th in 31:23.600 as Prairie finished in 2nd place as a team behind host team Moscow. The boys team had just 2 finishers as William Hooper placed 18th in 20:04.296 and Justin Lockett was 27th in 23:25.410. Kyle Schwartz started but was unable to finish due to the same balky hamstring that made him unable to finish at Lewiston the week before. The team’s final regular season meet was held this past Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Potlatch. District hasn’t been set for sure but it looks like it will be at Lewiston on Thursday, Oct. 24.
