Letters to the editor from this week's Chronicle:

Redneck Review!
No. 238 - 11/18/2019
Wow!  It is definitely time to get off of the "Pied Piper" claims that have been made over the last few weeks, RNR's from 232 to last week to be exact!  But at the risk of overkill and the predictable "boredom" that sets in when any topic is repeated over and over again, this RNR dares to take on the subject one more time!  But immediately it is stated that no future info on the "global warming" or "climate change" topic will be found here for several weeks!
If you recall, RNR 237 listed a web site,  www.oism.org   that could easily be accessed, using a normal search engine, Safari was the one mentioned there.  That simple entry ten days ago gave me immediately a link to the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine and a copy of the petition which called for a rejection of the 1997 Kyoto agreement proposing limits on green house gasses! Plus a listing of the 31,487 signers of that petition!  The suggestion was made to use a Safari search, because a few weeks earlier, a son of mine and I had spent nearly an hour trying to access the site with a google search, but found it very hard to get the information directly!
Today I have to ask, "Am I going stir crazy?"  An email received just recently commented on all the "interesting info" that was found on the oism site, but the writer had not found the actual petition or the list of signers!  A bit baffled, I tried the same site today, www.oism.org, and to my amazement, the actual petition and the list of names was nowhere to be found!  However, entering  Petition Project  in the little search box provided, did give me both the petition word for word, and lists of state signers! And a suggestion to use  www.petitionproject.org for direct access to the info.  So back to google again, with a "Hey Google" and saying "Kyoto Petition Project"  up popped the petition asking for the rejection, and access to the 31,000 plus names! And not to be out down, asking "Siri" on my Apple Ipad to give me "Kyoto Petition Project," up popped the petition, the signers, and a bunch of other related information!
So here it is admitted that info and suggestions made in last week's RNR has me "eating a bit of crow!"  The suggestion there that some sources  might be "censored" now leaves me also with proverbial "egg on my face!"  And it is hastily suggested here that the info can be obtained quite easily simply asking for  Kyoto Petition Project.  Now all that is left is for the Tribune to produce a list of the 11,258 scientists who "declared a global climate emergency" as the RNR article last week challenged them to do!
But there was more to the last RNR than the Kyoto info above.  The question was again asked, "What can a concerned individual do about our current situation?"  And the response here was really two fold!  First and foremost, DO NOT BUY the current "politically correct" feeling that individuals are  helpless, and must rely on big government and central banks like our FED to solve our problems!  Sources were referred to in the Bible where the entire outcome of historic destructions could have been prevented by just the effort of a "few good men" or women, or just "individuals."  It was suggested that an increased and genuine effort of just 25% of citizens who believe our Lord who said "Ask and it will be given to you" could and would turn the tide! That is just an increase of 1 in every 4 citizens!  Would it not be embarrassing and sad if our enviable lives here in America would disappear for lack of that additional 1 in 4?  Especially if it were me!
And second, it was suggested that a person MUST BE INFORMED!  Without knowledge, no person can be motivated to change daily patterns and become a significant part of the solution! So repeated again, is an offer for a $16 Amazon book that discusses the problem and proposes a solution for only $5!  Contact me using info below for this "deal!"
