Lady Patriots are 1-1 on the week
The St. John Bosco Academy Lady Patriots split a pair of league games last week. On Tuesday, Jan. 7 they hosted Nezperce and lost 19-31. On Thursday, Jan. 9, they traveled to Timberline and won 43-35. Vs. Nezperce It was a defensive battle against Nezperce for 3 quarters before the Indians opened it up in the fourth quarter and pulled away for the win.
The score was tied at 4-4 after one quarter and Nezperce led 8-12 at the half.
SJB outscored Nezperce 7-6 in the third quarter to pull within 3 at 15-18. However Nezperce outscored them 4-13 in the fourth quarter.
Jade Prigge led the Patriots in scoring with 10 points with Erin Chmelik adding 5 points. Dani Sonnen scored 3 and Jessie Sonnen scored 1.

At Timberline St. John Bosco created most of their winning margin in the opening quarter at Timberline when they outscored the Spartans 13-6. Over the final 3 quarters they outscored Timberline just 30-29.
It was 21-14 at the half and 30-24 after 3 quarters.
Prigge had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Patriots. Dani Sonnen and Lexi Currier also scored in double figures with 11 points each. Chmelik scored 7 and Jessie Sonnen 1.
Currier also had a double-double with 10 rebounds while Chmelik also hit double figures on the boards with 10.
SJB is now 3-5 on the season.
