Lady Pirates open against Raft River
The Prairie Lady Pirates will open against District 4 champion Raft River at 1:15 p.m. MST (12:15 p.m. our time) at the State tournament Thursday, Feb. 20.
The tournament will be held at Columbia High School in Nampa, the same site as the past several years.
Raft River comes in with a 13-9 overall record. They won the Snake River Conference with a 7-1 record and also won the District 4 tournament.
In the other half of Prairie’s bracket are 18-3 Grace, the District 5-6 champion against 16-8 Liberty Charter, the District 3 runner-up. Prairie will play one of those teams on Friday, 6:15 MST if they beat Raft River, 1:15 p.m. MST if they lose.
In the other half of the bracket 22-1 Lapwai opens against 14-7 Riverstone, the District 3 third place team at 6:15 p.m. MST. 17-9 Genesee, which beat Wallace and Butte County in play-in games to make state faces off against 23-1 Rimrock, the District 3 champion, at 8 p.m. MST.
On Saturday the Consolation final is at 9:15 a.m. MST, with the third place game at 11 a.m. MST. Both games are at Columbia High School. The championship game is at the Ford Idaho Center at 11:30 a.m. MST.
