Shears named tournament MVP
Idahosports.com, which broadcast all the recent girls state tournament games, picked their all-tournament teams and most valuable players.
Prairie’s Madison Shears was named the MVP for the 1AD1 girls tournament.
India Peery was named to the 2nd team and Ellea Uhlenkott was an honorable mention.
Schumacher out in 2 at State
Holli Schumacher was eliminated after two matches at the State Wrestling Meet held this past weekend at the Idaho Center in Nampa.
Schumacher opened against the #1 seed and eventual state champion, Connor Parkinson of Ririe and lost by pin in 52 seconds. 
In the consolation bracket she faced Truman Renof of North Fremont and almost made it to a decision but lost by pin with 23 seconds left in the match.
She ends her season with a 14-30 record.
