Redneck Review! No. 269 - 6/21/2020 We closed RNR last week with a quote from former Supreme Court justice Harlan: "Our Constitution is color blind!" Really? Is it? Should it be "color blind?: What would that mean if it were true, and IF IT WERE A POLICY followed by our courts and our citizens today? Well, it certainly makes sense if researched back to the earlier days in our nation. Flatly, we reject outright the occasional claim by critics that say we were not a Christian nation and never have been. Baloney! After awhile, every one gets tired of rabid individuals who blab that conviction with no proof at all. The PROOF is solid if researched honestly! So FACT #1: The U. S. does have a solid history of Christianity in its early stages, as has been claimed here repeatedly, True followers of Christ have learned and believe that every single one of us living today, is a child of God, and thus deserves the equal status of a common brother! So of course, COLOR BLIND made sense back in Justice Harlan's time as well as now! And what would that policy mean today if it were still applied? Well, FACT #2! The shouted rally cry today; "Black Lives Matter!" would fade away quickly! Of course, black lives matter! If Harlan knew what he was talking about, then just a tiny tad of COMMON SENSE would shout, "All Lives Matter!" Black lives as well as every other life! As noted last week, where is the cry that "New born Lives Matter?" Pray tell me! Have I been asleep the last several years? Just where have we ever heard or witnessed a massed assembly gathered all around the nation yelling, "Innocent Lives in the womb MATTER!" And lives which died in Chicago just the past couple of days we have been told, MATTER! Died of violence! Most of them black! Some shot by other blacks! WHAT? Do those lives not matter? Pray tell me what is the difference? And the numbers involved!! I have to keep going back to the internet and other sources to try to understand the figure that keeps popping up, that over 3000 babes in the womb are snuffed out CASUALLY, every single day! IN THIS COUNTRY! Yikes!!! YIKES!!! Unbelievable! So unbelievable that access to a calculator tells any who check that this means around 125 of the most innocent and helpless HUMAN BEINGS are casually ripped from a mother's womb every single HOUR! Wow! Key the calculator again, and it shouts out that over two potential American citizens are just "HO HUMMED" out of their mother's womb every MINUTE! Hey! Am I missing something? When was the last huge rally other than the annual pro-life gathering in Washington D.C. a big issue on TV and in the news? And those near dozen deaths in Chicago just one recent night, why do I have to hear about it on specialty news? Or maybe it was in the daily press, and was just missed. Regardless, the recent mob rallies around the country were concerned with ONE, UNO, "EIN" black man! It is understandable that it was sad! BUT! And it is claimed here, it is a "BIG BUT!" Something tells me there is something else going on here that makes no sense, and that concerned citizens DO NOT LIKE! Especially the rioting and the theft and the destruction that has accompanied many of the rallies! And a couple of other realities! First, the victim generating the rallies was not an innocent one! His record indicates a man who did serious jail time, and who had several run ins with the law! So there is another side to his story, and we will see if it ever makes the news! And what about dignitaries who claim that his rallies are justified even though violating "social distancing," but rallies against state lock downs are not! Is that equal justice? What about "All cops are PIGS!" heard at these rallies? "Ban them all!" We close, by asking, are we witnessing mob rule or the equal justice as would be expected if the law and our society were truly "COLOR BLIND?" Jake Wren |
