COVID-19 continues to surge in Idaho
COVID-19 continues to surge in the state of Idaho as there were 15,266 confirmed cases reported as of Tuesday morning, up over 4,000 from last Tuesday. There have been 122 deaths attributed to the virus statewide.
Idaho County has added 3 new cases since last week bringing the total to 16. So far no deaths recorded. Neighboring Lewis County is one of 2 counties in the state with no reported cases as of yet. Butte County is the other.
Ada and Canyon Counties continue to be the hot spots. Ada County has added 1400 new cases in the past week to bring their total up to 5,658 confirmed cases while Canyon County added 330 new cases to bring their total to 3,317.
Kootenai County had the third most cases with 1,056, up from 715 last week while Twin Falls County is fourth with 827 confirmed cases.
Nez Perce County added 3 new cases since last week while Clearwater County added 2.
