Cross Country
The Prairie Cross Country team had 2 meets this past week. They traveled to Troy for the Troy Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 24 and then to Weippe for the Spartan Invite on Monday, Sept. 28.
Troy Invitational
At the high school level the Prairie girls placed third as a team. They tied with Potlatch in points got the higher placing thanks to the higher placing of their 6th best runner. Kyleigh Duclos was Prairie’s top finisher in 18th place with a time of 25:46. Next was Elizabeth Severns in 20th at 25:49. Kerri Villamor was 25th in 26:57. Leann Lightfield was 28th in 27:33. Mattie Lustig was 29th in 27:39. Katteri Duman was 31st in 28:31.
The boys team placed 5th and were led by Tyler Wemhoff who placed 11th individually in 20:11. Zach Rambo was 25th in 21:50. Lee Forsmann was 33rd in 23:18. Justin Lockett was 40th in 25:06 and Morgan Poxleitner was 41st in 30:10.
The junior high girls made history as the first ever Prairie junior high squad to have a team score. They placed 3rd as a team. Ashlyn North led the team with a 12th place finish in 13:07. Rebecca Seubert was right behind in 13th at 13:08. Clarise Rehder was 20th in 14:31. Alaina Lustig was 23rd in 14:56 and Morgan Pack was 24th in 15:09.
The junior high boys had just 2 runners competing. Cole Duclos placed 13th in 11:36 while Jackson Enneking, a new addition to the team, placed 24th in 14:03.
Spartan Invite
