November events for Tri-Parish Youth Dear Youth, With a grateful heart I thank you for your presence in our parishes, communities, and schools. November brings with a reason to be thankful and a reminder to express that appreciation to those around us. It is with this grateful heart that I invite you into growing deeper into discovering your own gratitude as we gather in the name of Jesus. “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” Psalm 136:1 We will begin the month of November with an invitation to the Jr. High from the High School peer ministry team. The high school will be hosting a faith session on Nov.4 th at the CEC from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The theme of the night is “I Am”. Food will be provided along with an opportunity to grow closer to Christ through prayer, discussion, learning, and activities. All 7th and 8th graders are invited and encourage to attend! On November 9th all 9th and 10th graders are invited to St. Mary’s Church for Catholic Q and A. The night will begin with food at 6:30 which will be followed by our Q and A session. This is an opportunity to grow in your faith through lively discussions with your peers. On Wednesday, Nov. 11th all High School youth will meet at the CEC to plan the Thanksgiving feast and discuss Thanksgiving basket delivery. We will meet at the CEC at 7:00 p.m. Our Confirmation group will meet on Nov. 15th at 10:00 a.m. in the Sacred Heart room after Mass. Please remember to bring your Bibles and folders with you to class. Also, if you have money or completed paperwork, bring that too! The team is so excited to begin this journey with you as you prepare for this Sacrament! On Wednesday, Nov. 18th the High School youth will be hosting the Jr. High youth in Thanksgiving feast at the CEC at 6:30 p.m. The feast will be followed by a holiday movie. I am asking the High School youth to arrive at 5:45 to prepare the tables and help with the food! Thank you, Jesus, for this beautiful opportunity to gather with these amazing young people and to stand in gratitude together for you and all you have provided! On Nov. 23rd the 11th and 12th graders are invited to the OMG for Catholic Q and A. The night will begin with food at 6:30 and will be followed by our Q and A session. This is an opportunity to explore what the Catholic church teaches and to grow in faith through lively discussions with your peers. There will be no youth group on November 25th. I am praying that everyone enjoys their time with family and friends during Thanksgiving. On Nov. 30 the High School girls are invited to a “Night of Radiance” at the OMG room. We will begin the night with food at 6:30 and start our talk on holy relationships at 7:00. All High School girls are invited! Let you heart speak gratitude as you look around! God is in everything!
