ST. JOHN BOSCO ACADEMY BOYS BASKETBALL SCHEDULE FOR 2020-21
The St. John Bosco Patriots were 2-1 last week, picking up their first win of the season Saturday, Jan. 16 against the Lapwai C team, 47-40 at Lapwai. No further details available. They also picked up their first league win of the season with a 63-39 win over Nezperce at Cottonwood Tuesday, Jan. 19. On Thursday, Jan. 21 they hosted Kendrick and lost 29-68. Vs. Nezperce
St. John Bosco and Nezperce were each seeking their first league win of the season and the Patriots came out on top. They outscored Nezperce 14-6 in the first quarter and led 27-18 at the half. They added a point to the lead in the third quarter as they took a 40-30 lead into the fourth quarter. They then poured it on in the fourth, outscoring the Nighthawks (new mascot name for Nezperce) 23-9 to win by 24. The Patriots had 4 players score in double figures led by Luke Stubbers with 17 points. Cody Wassmuth scored 13, Clay Weckman 12 and Torry Chmelik 11. Kendrick jumped all over the Patriots
from the start as they took a 4-20 lead by the end of the first quarter
and led 12-40 at the half. It was 23-59 after 3 quarters.Chmelik led the Patriots in scoring with 9 points with Cody Wassmuth scoring 8.
