April events for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth,
This month brings with it words like, hope, salvation, resurrection, and joy. We are a hopeful people because we have a God who conquered death.  We celebrate and rejoice as we gather as God’s young Church fully alive.  Please join us in this month’s activities and let’s see where this risen God takes us!
We begin the month with an invitation to join in the Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter celebrations.  Times and locations are in the bulletin and are posted on the Church doors.  Please consider joining in this sacred journey as we too enter with Jesus in his passion and death.  It is truly one of the most holy times of our Church season.  May God bless you all during these holy days! Also, just a reminder that we have two teen youth, Eli and Levi Hinds coming into the Church on Holy Saturday night and as a young person I highly encourage you to attend this Mass as a means of support.  Standing with them in your Catholic identity is such a gift to them as they begin to walk their Catholic journey through the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation.
No youth group during Spring Break.  Please enjoy your time with friends and family!
On April 11th, the Confirmation youth will be meeting at St. Mary’s Church along with their sponsors for breakfast and class at 10:00 a.m.  The breakfast will be made by the Knights of Columbus.  Youth, please remember to invite your sponsors and thank you to the KC’s for taking time to make us breakfast.  You are the best!
On April 12th I will be meeting with the RCIT group at the Habit at 4:00 p.m. to continue our study of the Catholic faith.
On April 13th I will be meeting after school at the Habit with my, “Coffee and Jesus” group.
On April 14th the High School group is invited to the OMG for a night of faith.  We will begin with food at 6:30 and at 7:00 we will begin our faith study!  All High School youth are invited!
On April 18th, the Confirmation youth will meet at St. Mary’s Church fat 7:00 p.m. for Confirmation practice.  Please remember to invite your sponsor.  If your sponsor is not here, you may bring a parent to fill in so we know how much seating we will need.
On April 21st, the 15 young people who have been preparing for Confirmation will be confirmed.  We will meet at St. Mary’s Church at 6:30 p.m. for pictures.  The Mass will begin at 7:00. I am so exited to welcome the Bishop on this special day.  Come Holy Spirit Come!
On April 26th I will be meeting with the RCIT group at the Habit at 4:00 p.m. to continue our study on the Catholic faith.
On April 28th, the Jr. High will have a movie night at the OMG.  We will begin with food at 6:30 and start our movie at 7:00.  All Jr. High youth are invited!
Rejoice, again I say rejoice!  Look at what our Lord has done for us.  Let us always remember the power of the Easter story.   May we always live as a hopeful people because of this story.  Have a blessed Easter and never forget that you have a reason to celebrate!  OUR LORD HAS CONQUERED THE GRAVE!
With a Hopeful Heart,
Debbie
