Letter to the Editor
FAKE NEWS FAKE LEVY?
OK sadly I only get 330 words to tell you about the meeting for the MVSD levy - presented by Superintendent TODD FISKE. Well then I'll be succinct - BLAH BLAH BLAH YADA YADA. OK after 30 minutes of this I had to interrupt and ask - WHAT DOES THE LEVY PAY FOR? Oh, BLAH BLAH BLAH YADA YADA... So I asked again WHAT DOES THE LEVY PAY FOR? HUH?
Board Member  Casey Smith was there and he finally said oh well the Union wants FAMILY medical benefits that's One Million off the top. Oh no says Mr. Fiske that's under negotiation.
So I ask again WHAT DOES THE LEVY PAY FOR? and I add - Why doesn't the District budget with the guaranteed money they get from the State, then ask for MORE money and tell us WHAT IT IS FOR?
Need I repeat or do you all know the answer....(see above). I can say right now I have no problem kicking in $500 for MVSD but ONLY if they TELL ME WHAT THE LEVY PAYS FOR
No -  FISKE will not do that -he want a big pot of money THEN they divide it up like one of Board Member Casey Smith'sprime beef  cows - well thats how the majority of the School Board and the good Mr. Fiske treat Mr. Smith  anyway though  he is the lone voice of reason there - he's getting used to it - lets pray he doesn't give up.

Don't fall for the FAKE NEWS "bad guy" narrative "if you don't vote for the levy you don't care about (schools, teachers, kids etc.)" This is FAKE NEWS and a personal attack. It does not explain what the money is for.

Education has always been a hot button.  It was mentioned in the Northwest Ordinance almost 2 centuries ago to allocate massive territorial lands to promote education and even today it receives tons of tax monies most of which is applied by the state and federal governments with strings attached.
There is a difference, however, between education and training.
Education teaches you how to learn and think with a base of moral training that helps one discern right from wrong. Training, on the other hand, teaches you what to think and how to follow directions. The two are diametrically opposed to each other.
President Eisenhower alluded to a Military-Industrial-Complex in his infamous 1961 farewell address. It is telling that he did not mention the word “Academic” that was written in his original notes, making it a “Military-Industrial-Academic Complex” which he was trying to warn us about.
The Universities feed the corporations with trained graduates that can quickly plug into projects and learn what to do but not think too hard about whether or not what they are doing is right or wrong.  So we now have trained geniuses creating AI, designed obsolescence, deadly drugs and bio-weapons, robots and drones that create tech dynasties and possible military threats to people and they continue to travel down a very sick road towards trans-humanism that is submerging all we know as human.
This is because the correct goal of true education is not knowledge or conformity or efficiency but the development of character and wisdom.
More than ever, with the internet, all anyone has to know is how to read (or watch videos) and virtually all knowledge is open to them.
The only way to navigate this flood of information is to have wisdom to discern the truth from fiction and that requires common sense and moral character.
The Main-Stream-Media (MSM) is trying to act as our moral compass and it is succeeding because many graduates of our educational system have neither discernment nor character and so swallow and believe whatever the news tells them that fits the narrative gained from their training.
Moral character is extremely important to have in a free society. We cannot be free if we cannot govern ourselves and a moral cage, so to speak, is what enables a society to exist without enslavement to regulations and thought police.
Anyone that votes for whoever is most popular or takes a social justice warrior stand because that is what they think their peers want to hear has no moral courage or compass. They have been converted into the drone of a demagogue or enslaved by fear, selling their soul for a bowl of porridge.
We now have a significant split between people that follow the MSM narrative and those that think for themselves using common sense.
This lack of discernment and common sense is literally dividing our country.
Our educational system is systematically destroying the greatness that was once called America.
Consider the fact that our state legislature is considering some important budget measures that will effect whether or not our higher institutions of learning (paid for by your taxes) will teach Critical Race Theory as not only a requirement for the students but for the teachers as well.
What will it take to salvage ourselves from the self-enslaving institution of government education? I suggest we walk away from centralized and institutionalized government schools and pursue excellence locally and on our own. The age of the institutionalized government funded education systems is over and this dinosaur must soon die or we shall die trying to keep it alive.

Redneck Review!
No. 314 - 4/25/2021
Our last review closed with: "To obey our Creator or defiantly choose to go our own way, has been a decision each of us have to make! The battle has raged... (from the very beginning!) And history records the continual battle resulting between nations and individuals who have chosen to obey their Creator, and the conscience instilled in each of us, or have determined to have it their own way. Frankly folks, the "Do it my way" followers are winning!" That last paragraph then ended: "Concluded next week!" So here is the conclusion claimed!
First a disclaimer! It would be brash for me to claim that the following means it will happen here and certainty it would be brash to predict when it might take place. But the evidence submitted here is powerful, and to me at least is very convincing! So take it for what it is worth, and draw your own conclusions. Maybe first do a Google search, or use some other search engine, and find out how many have died in the listed countries which we all should know have fallen to the atheistic Communist regimes which took over! Russia, China, Cambodian, even Cuba, Laos, and Vietnam. Several other countries were at one time totally controlled by a Communist group, but in one way or another, managed to get out from under that dictatorial thumb. Estimates exist that claim the total death count is over 200 million! And please note that figure has not been made up by myself for this article! If you doubt that figure, try a 2nd search, asking how many died under : Lenin, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, Castro, etc. And while you are searching, why not ask how many virtually were starved by their new rulers before dying or close to death from starvation. For a recent example, inquire about the history of our local neighbor Venezuela the last few decades, noting the decline in freedom, wealth, and even everyday living conditions. And do not forget to ask who ruled during these decades!
Maybe it would help to review a few direct quotations from earlier Communist leaders, many of which and many more have appeared in past RNR's: And note how many of these quotations state the method they use to take over! Interesting in view of events in our country lately!
1) Soviet premier Krushchev-Prior to a U.S. visit in 1959: "We cannot expect the Americans to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they suddenly awake to find they have Communism." 2) Lenin: "What does it matter if 3/4's of the world perish, if the remaining 1/4 is Communist." Another Lenin: "Conflict is inevitable. Great political questions can only be solved by violence...It is inconceivable that Communism and Democracy can exist side by side. Inevitably, one must perish." 3) Communist Manifesto: "Communism abolishes eternal truths, it abolishes all religion and all morality." 4) Laferte-Mexican Communist leader in 1944: "It is no use hoping for a Communist victory, unless we destroy Christianity." 5) Lunarcharsky-former Russian Commissar of Education: "We hate all Christians...Even the best of them must be considered our worst enemies. They preach love of neighbor... which is contrary to our beliefs. Christian love is an obstacle to the development of the Revolution. Down with love of one's neighbor! what we want is hate... Only then can we conquer the universe." And for the serious researcher, these are only a few and a tip of the iceberg!
So is the fall of our country to these people inevitable? Of course not! We are told that 80% roughly of our American citizens are Bible readers and/or Christians of one denomination or another! So if we wake up to the threat that looms over us, and each resolve to do just a little bit to help avoid the coming disaster, we can throw off dramatically the end result which history tells us is lurking on our horizon! Remember! Each of us has the power to change that history!
