Boys win 4x100 relay at Meet of Champions
Prairie athletes competed at a pair of track meets last week. On Tuesday, May 4, they were at a 10-school meet at Kamiah. On Thursday, May 6, they were at the Meet of Champions at Lewiston.
Kamiah Meet
Kristin Wemhoff won 3 individual events at Kamiah while Matt Coppernoll won 2 and Ellea Uhlenkott won 1. The boys and girls each won the 4x200 relays. Zach Rambo hands off the lead to T.J. Hibbard in the 4x200 at Kamiah.
Wemhoff won the 100 meter dash in 13.65, the 200 in 28.17 and the 400 in 1:03.48. She also anchored the 4x200 relay which won in 1:53.94 with Julia Rehder, Uhlenkott and Alli Geis making up the rest of the team.
Uhlenkott won the long jump with a mark of 14’9” and was also second in the 100 hurdles in 17.77 and second in the 300 hurdles in 49.21.
Coppernoll won the discus with a mark of 150’6” and the shot put with a mark of 40’9”.
For the girls team Rehder finished third in the triple jump at 28’11.5”, 4th in the long jump at 13’11.5” and 5th in the 200 in 30.45.
Geis was 5th in the 300 hurdles in 57.88 and 6th in the 200 in 31.28.
Sarah Lustig was 4th in the discus at 71’3” and 12th in the shot put at 21’6”.
Olivia Klapprich was 7th in the long jump at 13’1.5”, 9th in the 100 meter dash in 16.00 and 9th in the 200 in 32.95.
Meghan Fowler was 11th in the discus at 60’11” and 13th in the shot at 18’10”.
The 4x100 team of Geis, Lustig, Klapprich and Fowler placed 3rd in 1:02.19.
The girls placed 3rd behind C.V. and Kamiah with 101 pts.
The boys 4x200 team of Jesse Cronan, Bennie Elven, Zach Rambo and T.J. Hibbard took first in a time of 1:41.47.
Hibbard also placed 2nd in the shot at 36’10.5”, 3rd in the discus at 122’5” and 2nd in the 400 n 5:20.37.
Cronan finished 2nd in the discus at 124’5”, 5th in the 100 in 12.71 and 9th in the shot at 31’9”.
Rambo placed 3rd in the 200 in 25.86, 3rd in the long jump at 16’8.25” and 6th in the 100 in 13.09.
Tyler Wemhoff was 4th in the 1600 in 5:20.37 and 9th in the 100 in 13.29.
Sebastian Nuxoll was 4th in the 300 hurdles in 59.15, 14th in the discus at 89’9” and 24th in the 100 in 15.55.
Shane Hanson was 4th in the discus at 115’5” and 10th in the high jump at 4’10”.
Elven was 6th in the discus at 103’6”.
Lee Forsmann was 7th in the discus at 103’4”, 10th in the long jump at 14’3.75” and 17th in the 200 at 32.48.
Quirt Goeckner was 12th in the long jump at 13’7.75” and 15th in the discus at 88’0”.
Ambrose Nuxoll was 16th in the long jump at 12’7” and 21st in the 100 in 15.55.
The medley team of Goeckner, Hanson, Elven and Ambrose Nuxoll finished 2nd in 4:36.12.
The 4x100 team of Elven, Hanson, Forsmann and Ambrose Nuxoll was 4th in 53.61.
As a team the boys placed 2nd behind Kamiah with 112 pts.
Meet of Champions
Coppernoll in the discus and the boys 4x100 relay team picked up wins at the Meet of Champions in Lewiston.
Coppernoll tossed the discus 146’9” to win the event. He was also 5th in the shot put at 40’8.5”.
The 4x100 team of Cronan, Cole Martin, Rambo and Hibbard won with a time of 46.68.
Hibbard was 3rd in the 200 meter dash in 24.04, 5th in the discus at 135’3” and 11th in the shot at 36’10.5”
Cronan was 8th in the discus at 123’1”, 15th in the 100 in 12.62 and 20th in the shot at 31’4”.
Hanson was 9th in the discus at 121’11”.
Elven was 14th in the discus at 100’8”.
Wemhoff was 19th in the 1600 in 5:24.57.
For the girls team Wemhoff was 3rd in the 200 in 28.18 and 5th in the 400 in 1:02.05.
Uhlenkott was third in the 300 hurdles with a time of 48.17. She also placed fifth in the 100 hurdles in 17.36.
Rehder was 6th in the triple jump at 32’3” and 10th in the long jump at 13’9”.
The 4x200 relay team of Geis, Uhlenkott, Rehder and Wemhoff placed third in 1:52.41.
The same 4 girls teamed up in the 4x100 relay and placed 4th in 53.45.
