30 turn out for PHS volleyball There are 30 girls turned out for the Prairie volleyball team this year. Their season got underway this past Tuesday when they hosted an 8-school Jamboree. Their first regular season action will be the New Plymouth Tournament set for this Saturday, August 28 for the varsity girls while the JV girls travel to Genesee the same day for the annual JV tournament there. Seniors on the varsity team are Laney Forsmann, Josie Remacle, Trinity Martinez, Delanie Lockett, Olivia Klapprich, Ali Rehder and Mackenzie Key. Juniors on the varsity are Kristin Wemhoff and Tara Schlader. Alli Geis is the only sophomore on this year’s varsity team. Making up the JV/C teams are juniors Julia Rehder, Riley Enneking, Chloe Rowland and Holli Schumacher. Sophomores on the JV/C teams are Taylor Riener, Ember Martin, Miranda Klapprich, Isabella Walsh and Chayla Christopher. Freshman on the team are Tamden Pecarovich, Lexi Schumacher, Kaylie Lockett, Aubree Rehder, Rebecca Seubert, Harlee Brannan, Ellie Nuxoll, Morgan Pack, Clarise Rehder, Ashlyn North and Grace Uhlenkott. The Prairie Lady Pirates varsity volleyball team will be at the New
Plymouth Tournament this Saturday, August 28 at New Plymouth, Idaho.
The tentative schedule has Prairie opening ppol play at 9 a.m. MDT against Payette. Their next match is set for 10:30 a.m. MDT vs. New Plymouth. Their third and final pool play match will be at noon MDT vs. Horseshoe Bend. All pool play matches are 2 games to 25 with no cap. Cole Valley Christian, Greenleaf, Tri-Valley and Potlatch are in the other 4-team pool. After pool play teams will be seeded into bracket play to determine the champion.
