to the editor from this week's Chronicle Dear Editor, Stories this past weekend in both the Idaho Statesman and the Lewiston Tribune cut to the chase. While some want to keep pushing the idea that vaccine hesitancy is fueled by selfishness and lack of trust in our government, these stories tell another side. Maybe people just don't have the information they need to make an informed decision. What if we could get hospitals to start reporting some of the data that folks want? What if hospitals reported to Public Health the answers to these basic questions? 1. How many of those new COVID cases had been vaccinated (and with which brand) and how many had been diagnosed with COVID before? 2. How many of new COVID patients who were hospitalized were vaccinated (and with which brand) and how many were diagnosed with COVID before? 3. In new COVID diagnoses and hospitalizations, are there underlying health issues present? We know something for sure. The current strategy of trying to scare or guilt people into getting the vaccine is NOT working. Misinformation comes from a lack of information. Let's switch it up and start giving real numbers folks can use to take a reasoned approach to determining whether the vaccine is the best choice for their health. Your recent Guest Column “Vaccine is our best shot at keeping kids in school” (Chronicle 9/2/21 update) was written like a professional pharmaceutical advertising agency. Your threat was pretty clear that those of us who have not taken the experimental gene therapy shot, need to take the jab or the children might be forced into social isolation (by you)- again. (Never mind that children are at almost zero risk of infection or easily recover if they should get sick.) The emotional appeal was impressive. Had I not known how extremely dangerous this genetic therapy is, I might have been compelled to get line and join the experiment. I know a pharmaceutical salesperson who gets picked up at home in a limo and driven to the airport where she flies First Class around the world promoting their chemo-theraputic products. She makes so much money that she has trouble spending it all. These International Pharmaceutical giants, that you are pushing their products for, stand to make TRILLIONS from the global vaccine market. All they need is for the governments, heath agencies and medical monopoly to pave the way. That is where you come in. A nice, neat government/corporate partnership, aka Corporate Fascism, is all that is needed. You do your part and campaign contributions roll in, ensuring you stay in power. Billions from the Fed are sent to our state, as long as you do your part, which you can distribute freely to your cronies and special interests. Business as usual? Not this time. The price is too high to let it pass. Your “Emergency” declarations have overridden our inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Not only are you in violation of your oath of office, you have caused incalculable harm to the people of Idaho. Not just the loss of jobs, homes, health and social life but, untold damage done and yet to occur from the experimental gene therapy you are pushing. It is time to either repent and restore the people of Idaho or prepare to forfeit your political career. Jay Maxner Kooskia, Idaho Redneck Review! No. 332 - 9/5/2021 "Which way America?" So goes the first line of a song from an Up With People group, famous in this country in the 1970's. So famous they were selected to entertain at half time of the Super Bowl in 1976! The song, among others like "Up With People," and "What Color is God's Skin?" continues: "Which way to go? This is my country and I want to know, which way America is going to go!" A very pertinent question today! For anyone up on all sides of the news today, knows that a raging battle is going on right now between the ideas and beliefs of the founders who gave us this country, and the relative upstart, but fast growing Marxist - Communist newcomer who dominates the "Political Correct" news today. And note that this newcomer only got its start just a bit over 100 years ago when in 1917, communism officially took over Russia. So repeated today, as has been stressed many times in the past in these articles, is tip of the iceberg proof of what we are dealing with today! First, it is atheistic! Second, no fixed truth exists, all is evolutionary, and changes with the changing times. Finally, the end goal is an utopia on earth, where all will live equally - "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need" And no afterlife, heaven or hell, as believed by the followers of Christ. And "Conflict is a key to our goal!" Consider the following supporting claims above! 1) Lenin - "Marxism is materialism. Atheism is an integral part of Marxism." 2)Lenin - "We must combat religion. This is the ABC of... Marxism. Down with religion!" 3)Communist Manifesto - "Communism abolishes eternal truths, it abolishes all religions. and all morality." 4) Lenin - ?Promises are like pie crust, made to be broken."Laferte - Mexican communist leader -"It is no use hoping for a communist victory, unless we destroy Christianity." 5)Lunarcharsky Russian commissar of Education -"We hate Christians and all Christianity. Even the best of them must be considered our worst enemies. They preach love of neighbor, which is contrary to our principals. Christian love is an obstacle to our revolution. Down with love of neighbor! What we want is hate... only then can we conquer the universe." Is it not true that atheism, hate, conflict, division (CRT), are taught by many in our government, our press, our TV, and our schools today! So, "Which way do we go?" as noted above? Do we allow the above threatening movement to take over our country, or do we insist on keeping the beliefs and traditions which have made our country the most free, the most prosperous, the most creative, the most envied of all nations ever recorded in history? Do we defend our Christian heritage and the teachings of Christ, and His great commandment, "Love God with your whole heart and soul, and neighbor as oneself?" Do all of our children and our neighbors teach and believe Jefferson's claim in the Declaration of Independence, that "We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, and are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. To secure these rights, governments are instituted among men deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed...That whenever any form of a government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it..." Do we American citizens realize and appreciate the fact that our government was firmly based on a belief in a law giving God, and thus the difference between our Republic and normal Democracies is clearly represented by God-->People-->Gov, and not just People -->Gov? Do we know that research tells us that our founding fathers feared normal democracies? Look up the evidence yourselves! It is there for anyone who looks! So the question is repeated, "Which way do we go?" And what can I do personally to help the cause we believe in? Jake Wren |
