The annual Powderpuff football game pitting the Senior and Freshman girls against the Junior and Sophomore girls was held Wednesday, Sept. 15.
The Sr.-Fr. Team won 6-0 with Molly Johnson scoring the only touchdown of the game on a short run in the second quarter.
The Jr.-Soph. team had a chance to at least tie it late in the game but fumbled the ball away near the goal line with 25 seconds left.
Action then moved to the Elementary School Gym for the “Powderpuff” Volleyball.
In opening rounds the Seniors beat the Freshmen 15-9 and the Sophomores beat the Juniors 15-4.
The Juniors then eliminated the Freshmen 15-8.
The Seniors beat the Sophomores 15-12 to advance to the championship round.
The Sophomores eliminated the Juniors 15-11 setting up a rematch in the championship.
The Seniors edged the Sophomores 15-11 to claim the Powderpuff Volleyball Championship.
