Prairie hosts cross country meet
Prairie hosted a cross country meet on Tuesday, Oct. 12 with 7 schools competing. It was a much bigger meet than their initial meet last year.
Logos dominated the meet with 6 of the top 7 finishers in the high school boys race and 5 of the top 6 in the girls race.
Matthew Wemhoff was Prairie’s top boys finisher as he placed 8^th in 20:32. Kyle Schwartz finished 12^th in 21:02. Cole Duclos finished 31^st in 24:32 and Morgan Poxleitner was 34^th in 26:41.
For the high school girls, Katteri Duman finished 16^th in 28:59. Natalie Goeckner was 19^th in 28:59 and Meghan Fowler was 24^th in 34:34.
In the junior high boys race, Ben Secrest finished 2^nd in 10:31. Chase VonBargen was 7^th in 11:11. Jackson Enneking was 10^th in 11:48. Landon Riener was 14^th in 13:12. Max Rehder was 15^th in 13:34. Nate Forsmann was 16^th in 14:21. George Villamor was 17^th in 15:11 and Gabe Dicaria was 18^th in 15:18. As a team they finished second behind Nezperce.
In the junior high girls race Olivia Uhlenkott placed 2^nd in 12:00. Evelyn Gehring was 3^rd in 12:08 and Alaina Lustig was 5^th in 13:04.

Olivia Uhlenkott and Evelyn Gehring are about to start their final lap. They were running 2nd and 3rd at this point which is how they finished.

Ben Secrest is about to get on the track for the final lap. He finished second.
