Two qualify for State
Two Prairie boys qualified for State at the Regional Cross Country Meet held at the LCSC course in the Lewiston Orchards Thursday, Oct. 21.
Kyle Schwartz finished 9^th in 19:17 despite running the final mile or so with only one shoe. Matthew Wemhoff finished 13^th in 19:47. The top 15 finishers in the race all qualified for state. Cole Duclos finished 34^th in 22:42 and Morgan Poxleitner finished 37^th in 22:54.
For the girls the top 12 finishers qualified for State. Natalie Goeckner was Prairie’s top finisher in 21^st with a time of 26:44. Katteri Duman was 28^th in 28:25. Elizabeth Severns was 29^th in 30:11 and Meghan Fowler was 32^nd in 33:08.
The 1A boys state race will be held at Eagle Island State Park just west of Eagle on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 12:30 p.m. Mountain Time.
