Hasselstrom named player of the year Brody Hasselstrom has been named the White Pine League Division 1 Player of the Year for the recently completed football season. He was also named as Offensive First Team Running Back and Defensive Second Team Linebacker. Joining him on the first team offense was Jesse Cronan at offensive guard. Prairie Pirates named first team defense were T.J. Hibbard at linebacker, Cronan at defensive end and Wyatt Ross at defensive back. Pirates named to the second team offense were Hibbard at running back and Ross at tight end. Named to the second team defense in addition to Hasselstrom at linebacker was Chase Kaschmitter at defensive end. Receiving honorable mention on offense were Lane Schumacher at quarterback, Shane Hanson at offensive guard and Noah Behler at center. Schumacher was also an honorable mention at defensive back. Prairie’s Ryan Hasselstrom was named coach of the year.
