Two earn state medals
Kristin Wemhoff earned 3 state medals while Zach Rambo earned 1 at the State Track Meet held at Middleton High School May 20-21.
Wemhoff finished third in the 100, 200 and 400 earning 3 medals. Her time in the 100 finals was 13.05. in the 200 final she finished in 26.51, a new personal best. In the 400 she finished in 59.04, a new personal best and only .04 shy of the school record set by Carrie Riener in 1977.
Rambo finished 6th in the 200 meter final to earn his state medal. He had a time of 23.30. He was also 9th in the 100 in 11.77 and 12th in the 400 in 53.83.
Shane Hanson finished 8th in the discus at 132’3” and tied for 8th in the high jump at 5’6”, a new personal best.
T.J. Hibbard finished 9th in the discus at 132’2”.
Brody Hasselstron finished 12th in the discus at 119’11”.
Elizabeth Severns finished 14th in the girls discus with a new personal best of 88’10”.
The boys 4x100 relay team of Jesse Cronan, Hibbard, Noah Geis and Rambo finished 8th in 46.53.
As a team the girls were tied for 12th place with 18 pts. while the boys were 24th with 5½ points.

T.J. Hibbard takes the baton from Jesse Cronan in the 4x100 at State and then hands it off to Noah Geis.

Shane Hanson finished 8th at State in the Discus.
