Sr.-Fr. team dominates powderpuff football game
The Senior-Freshman team dominated the Powderpuff football game held Wednesday, Sept. 28 as part of the Homecoming week festivities.
The scoring started when freshman quarterback Sage Elven ran 50 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter. Senior Julia Rehder ran in the 2-point conversion for an 8-0 lead.
Freshman Hailey Hanson set up her team for their next scored with a 1-handed interception of Lexi Schumacher’s pass for the Junior-Sophomore team. Elven then passed to a wide open Tara Schlader for a 60 yard scoring play. Kristin Wemhoff ran in the 2-pointer to make it 16-0 which is where the score stood at halftime.
Wemhoff then scored the only second half touchdown on a 65 yard run. She also ran in the 2-pointer to make it 24-0.
There were 6 seniors and 12 freshmen on the winning team and 6 juniors and 12 sophomores on the Junior-Sophomore team.

Juniors win Powderpuff Volleyball
The Junior class team lost their opening game against the Sophomores then won 4 straight games to win the Powderpuff Volleyball Tournament held Wednesday, Sept. 28 in the Elementary School gym.

In the opening game the Freshmen edged the Seniors 15-13. The Sophomores then defeated the Juniors 15-11.
In an elimination game, the Juniors defeated the Seniors 15-11.
The Freshmen then knocked off the Sophomores 15-6.
In an another elimination game, the Juniors got revenge for their only loss as they beat the Sophomores 15-5 with Lee Forsmann dominating at the net.
The Juniors then faced the Freshmen needing to win twice to win the championship.
The Juniors forced a winner-take-all championship with a 15-6 win.
The championship game was played to 25 with the Juniors winning 25-18.
